<p><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic product engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, along with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.
This role requires a proactive individual who takes ownership, collaborates effectively, and ensures the delivery of high-quality software products.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.<br/><br/>- Conduct manual and automated testing across web, mobile (Android & iOS), and API platforms.<br/><br/>- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with development teams.<br/><br/>- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.<br/><br/>- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, clarify functionality, and ensure product quality.<br/><br/>- Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices throughout the SDLC.<br/><br/>- Utilize databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc., for validating data and writing queries.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and maintain testing environments.<br/><br/>- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.<br/><br/><b>Experience & Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.<br/><br/>- Any Engineering degree<br/><br/><b>Required Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of QA tools, testing methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing techniques.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of API testing and related tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.<br/><br/>- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.<br/><br/>- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.<br/><br/>- High level of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering quality results.<br/><br/>- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).<br/><br/>- Exposure to logging, monitoring, and web server tools.<br/><br/>- Prior experience in startup or product-based environments.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
