<p><p>We are looking for a talented and dynamic Senior Go Software Engineer to join our software development team.
In this crucial role, you will design, develop, and optimize new tools for MongoDB, such as backup solutions.
You will collaborate closely with the team building the Server for MongoDB and other teams dedicated to enhancing the value of MongoDB tools.
We have ambitious plans to deliver innovative enterprise-grade functionality to the MongoDB community and seek an individual who can bring energy and optimism to our team!</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Collaborate with a geographically distributed team to design and implement new products and tools around MongoDB.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software.
Engage with the broader MongoDB open-source community by submitting and reviewing pull requests (PRs) and addressing issues the community raises.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work closely with product managers, QA teams, and community contributors to shape MongoDB tools roadmap and prioritize features that bring the most outstanding value.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build robust and resilient database solutions focusing on ensuring data integrity, fault tolerance, and high availability across distributed systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Contribute to upstream projects we leverage to bring our solutions to the community.<br/><br/></p><p>- Serve as a mentor to junior developers, guiding best practices in software design, coding, testing, and debugging, particularly in large-scale distributed database systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Blog, present, and evangelize our software to help increase adoption and keep our thriving community growing<br/><br/></p><p>- Engage with other departments in Percona to ensure were delivering value-driven will help you succeed :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience<br/><br/></p><p>- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Go development and object-oriented design<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of NoSQL databases and large-scale distributed systems, preferably MongoDB<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of compression and encryption algorithms and techniques<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, and Travis<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with high-concurrency threading models, atomics, and locking primitives<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of various programming and scripting languages such as BASH, Perl, and Python<br/><br/></p><p>- Working with tools like profiler, gdb and strace for debugging<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience with AI/ML technologies and a strong enthusiasm for building intelligent systems</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
