What you’ll do 

BTP ABAP (Business Technology Platform ABAP), at the heart of SAP's technical foundation, shapes the global enterprise application landscape.

In our dynamic unit, BTP ABAP, we drive ABAP's core application runtime, setting industry standards with SDKs, languages, compilers, and VMs. Crafting ABAP, ABAP SQL, and ABAP CDS, we define how enterprise business logic and data models interact.

Now, we're poised for an exciting journey, exploring the integration of Generative AI to unlock efficiency potential for ourselves, customers, and partners.

We're actively hiring skilled developers to join our team, focusing on seamlessly integrating Generative AI into the ABAP platform.

As an ABAP specializing in, your role involves innovatively applying AI solutions to ABAP's language and programming models.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver solutions built for integration of AI capabilities for ABAP to accelerate Custom Code Managemen
• Work on product backlog items by designing, developing, and testing of usable software in close collaboration with the Empowered Product Team.
• Work on problems of relatively complex scope, through general usage of standard programming concepts and principles and Work on continuous improvement and optimization of Software product.
• Provide a high quality of support to SAP Customers by gaining deep product expertise.
• Ensure high quality of code, code corrections and support packages.
• Excellent team player, passionate about his/her work, self-motivated and driven
• Drive initiative & topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency

What you bring 

• Applicants for this position should have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or possess relevant coursework and certifications.
• 4 to 9 years of Relevant Experience using ABAP, FIORI, UI5.
• Good Experience in REST/oData API creation and consumption is beneficial
• Knowledge of ERP to S/4HANA migration processes and implementation experience specifically in custom code migration will be highly beneficial
• Profound knowledge of development processes and product standards & tools 
• Must be: Innovative out-of-the box thinker combined with business acumen 
• Strong customer focus required & results-driven combined with quality focus 
• Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration 
• Have an urge to learn and experiment with new technologies.
