<p><p><b>Description : </b><br/><br/><b>About the job : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>Were looking for a SeniorBuild & Release Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Maven-based Apache projects, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins automation, Python scripting, and GitHub .<br/><br/>Youll own and scale build processes, automate release workflows, and ensure smooth software delivery for ODP.<br/><br/>This role gives you the opportunity to work on deep technology challenges spanning distributed systems, observability, and enterprise-scale deployments - with direct impact on how customers run mission-critical workloads.<br/><br/>You are a great fit for this role if you have :</p><p><br/></p><p>- You will develop and maintain Python scripts to automate build, deployment, and monitoring tasks.<br/><br/>- Your focus will be on improving system reliability through automation and self-healing mechanisms.<br/><br/>- You will scale CI/CD automations for Maven and Gradle builds, automate release processes including branching, tagging, and versioning, and ensure that builds remain stable and reproducible across environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Your role will involve designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, streamlining deployment workflows, and troubleshooting build failures and pipeline issues.<br/><br/>- You will oversee source code repositories in GitHub, manage branching strategies, and collaborate with development teams on pull requests, code reviews, and maintaining repository hygiene.<br/><br/>- Collaboration with development and QA teams is essential to ensure smooth integration and deployment, along with maintaining clear documentation of build, release, and deployment processes.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work in a team that values ownership, automation, and We Look For : </b></p><br/>- 2-3 years of experience in Build & Release Engineering.<br/><br/>- Must have strong Java programming skills, along with proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of Maven for build management.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of GitHub (branches, tags, merge strategies).<br/><br/>- Experience in release automation and deployment workflows.<br/><br/>- Good troubleshooting skills for build failures and CI/CD issues.<br/><br/><b>Nice-to-Have : </b><br/><br/>- Experience with Docker & Kubernetes.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of Apache open-source projects.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
