<p><p><b>Description : </b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dedicated QA team.<br/><br/>- In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the high quality of our software releases.<br/><br/>- You will be responsible for developing and executing detailed smoke and regression test scenarios, maintaining comprehensive test cases, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.<br/><br/>- Work Hrs : CST Hrs.<br/><br/>- (7pm 3am IST).<br/><br/><b>Role and Responsibilities : </b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.<br/><br/>- Use programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or similar languages to drive testability for large enterprise applications.<br/><br/>- Work with CI/CD frameworks to integrate quality automation into our build and release pipelines.<br/><br/>- Create infrastructure for CI to use in running automation.<br/><br/>- Advocate and present to technical and non-technical stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Analyzing performance test results and collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.<br/><br/>- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies with business goals and ensure high-quality releases.<br/><br/>- Driving improvements in test coverage across unit, functional, and load tests.<br/><br/>- Identifying, tracking, and resolving software defects using tools like Jira or AWS DevOps.<br/><br/>- Mentoring junior QA engineers in best practices for automation testing.<br/><br/>- Staying updated on industry trends and advocating for process improvements to enhance the software development lifecycle.<br/><br/><b>Requirements : </b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Min 10 years of relevant experience.<br/><br/>- Extensive experience developing test automation frameworks and testing strategies.<br/><br/>- Extensive experience using creating automation testing scripts using Selenium.<br/><br/>- Strong programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScript.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automation with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.<br/><br/>- Good experience and exposure to BDD testing framework.<br/><br/>- Deep understanding of the challenges of building and maintaining services or web applications in production.<br/><br/>- Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify fallacies, biases, and anti-patterns.<br/><br/>- Strong strategic thinking skills, with a proven record of identifying opportunities and breaking down complex problems.<br/><br/>- Seasoned leadership skills, with prior experience mentoring other engineers and leading complex cross-functional initiatives.<br/><br/>- Strong communication skills, including actively listening, giving structured feedback, presenting to non-technical stakeholders, and influencing others.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies.<br/><br/>- Understanding of the challenges of service virtualization, ephemeral environments, and CI/CD automation.<br/><br/>- Experience with WebdriverIO and Jenkins is also helpful.<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and QA processes.<br/><br/>- Proven ability to debug complex issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).<br/><br/><b>Nice to Have : </b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Experience scaling large web applications and maintaining high availability services.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of E-Commerce and subscription systems.<br/><br/>- Experience with AWS is desirable.<br/><br/>- Knowledge or experience of E-Commerce systems, Product Information Management (PIM) solutions.<br/><br/>- Working experience with ElasticSearch.<br/><br/>- Familiar with third-party backend API integrations.<br/><br/>- ISTQB or similar QE certifications.<br/><br/>- Experience with Netlify environments.<br/><br/>- Playwright and performance testing experience using Node.js tools such as Artillery or K6.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
