<p>About the Role :<br/><br/>We are seeking a visionary AI & Data Principal Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and deployment of advanced AI and data-driven solutions.
This role is pivotal in driving innovation across machine learning, data engineering, and AI infrastructure, while mentoring teams and shaping strategic technical direction aligned with business goals.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/>- Lead the design and implementation of scalable AI and data architectures, ensuring integration with enterprise systems.<br/><br/>- Define and drive the technical roadmap for AI, machine learning, and data engineering initiatives.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business leaders to align AI capabilities with organizational objectives.<br/><br/>- Mentor and guide senior engineers and architects, fostering technical excellence and innovation.<br/><br/>- Architect, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or other AI applications.<br/><br/>- Oversee the entire ML lifecycle including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, tuning, and deployment.<br/><br/>- Drive adoption of MLOps best practices to ensure scalable, reproducible, and automated model deployment and monitoring.<br/><br/>- Design and oversee the development of robust, efficient data pipelines and data infrastructure to support AI and analytics workloads.<br/><br/>- Ensure high-quality, well-governed, and secure data assets are available for AI applications.<br/><br/>- Promote data-driven decision-making by delivering reliable and insightful analytics solutions.<br/><br/>- Stay abreast of the latest AI, ML, and data technologies, evaluating their applicability to business challenges.<br/><br/>- Lead pilot projects and proof of concepts (POCs) to validate new AI technologies and approaches.<br/><br/>- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in software engineering, data management, and AI model development.<br/><br/>- Ensure AI and data solutions comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.<br/><br/>- Establish standards for data privacy, security, and responsible AI use.<br/><br/>Required Qualifications & Skills :<br/><br/>- Bachelor's or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields.<br/><br/>- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or AI development, with significant time spent in senior or principal engineering roles.<br/><br/>- Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or equivalent.<br/><br/>- Extensive experience in data engineering technologies: data lakes, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).<br/><br/>- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.<br/><br/>- Proven experience designing and deploying machine learning models in production at scale.<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and lifecycle management.<br/><br/>- Expertise in big data ecosystems like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka is highly desirable.<br/><br/>- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
