<p><p><b>Summary of Position :</b></p><p><br/>We are seeking a skilled and proactive Client Virtualization Engineer to design, implement, and support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions using Omnissa Horizon.</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing both persistent and non-persistent desktop images, leveraging Microsoft FSLogix for profile management, and utilizing ControlUp for performance monitoring and optimization.</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/>- Design, deploy, and maintain Omnissa Horizon environments to support enterprise-level virtual desktop infrastructure.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Manage and optimize persistent and non-persistent images, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Implement and support Microsoft FSLogix for user profile management and seamless user experience.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Management and design of AppVolumes for applying applications to virtual desktop.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Monitor and troubleshoot VDI performance using ControlUp, identifying and resolving issues proactively.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure VDI solutions align with business and security requirements.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with Operational team on ensuring platform stability and uptime.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Define and track key performance indicators such as uptime, login times, and ticket resolution time.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Maintain comprehensive runbooks and change logs to support operational continuity.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Automate image creation, patching, and deployment processes to streamline operations.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Provide Tier 3 engineering support for VDI-related incidents and service requests.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Forecast resource needs and perform capacity planning to ensure scalability of the VDI environment.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Conduct proactive performance tuning and resource optimization.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Plan and execute lifecycle upgrades of the VDI platform including Horizon, FSLogix, and AppVolumes.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for VDI infrastructure.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure compliance with security policies including image hardening, MFA, and encryption.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Identify and implement improvements to enhance user experience and reduce operational costs.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Evaluate trending technologies and alternatives for VDI solutions.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Contribute to hybrid VDI strategies including Horizon Cloud on Azure or AWS.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p>- Proven experience with Omnissa (VMware) Horizon (Cloud or On-Prem).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Total Exp of 7-10 years.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of Microsoft FSLogix and Windows user profile management.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with ControlUp or similar VDI monitoring tools.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with AppVolumes.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of network design including load balancing and dns.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in managing Windows 10/11 virtual desktops and server OS.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Scripting skills (PowerShell preferred) for automation and Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Excellent documentation Qualifications :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DTM).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a plus.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of application layering and packaging tools.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management
