<p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Port and customize AOSP for custom camera hardware platforms (e.g., Qualcomm, NXP, MediaTek).<br/><br/></p><p>- Integrate and optimize camera HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) and ISP firmware.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work with custom kernel modules and device drivers to support new hardware features.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and maintain Board Support Packages (BSP) including bootloaders, device trees, and system services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Customize init.rc scripts to manage Android services and startup configuration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Configure and manage OTA (Over-the-Air) upgrade servers, update packages, and rollout mechanisms.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and maintain Android system services using AIDL and Binder IPC mechanisms.<br/><br/></p><p>- Optimize performance and stability of the Android Runtime (ART) and system processes.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Implement and maintain SEAndroid (SELinux) policies to enforce secure execution environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure system integrity using Secure Boot and image validation mechanisms.<br/><br/></p><p>- Integrate filesystem support (ext4, YAFFS, F2FS) based on platform and performance needs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Debug system issues using logcat, dmesg, and kernel logs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to </p><p>resolve low-level problems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Apply deep knowledge of Android permissions model, system services, and inter-process communication for secure and efficient Skills & Qualifications </b>:</p><p><br/></p>- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- 5+ years of embedded Android development experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of Android Runtime (ART) and the Android system architecture.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with AOSP, HAL development, and system service integration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in C/C++, Java, shell scripting, and cross-compilation environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Deep experience with Binder IPC, AIDL, and custom Android services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience with custom kernel module development and integration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of SELinux for Android and writing/managing custom security policies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with OTA mechanisms, including server configuration and system update flows.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Secure Boot, cryptographic image validation, and Android Verified Boot.<br/><br/></p><p>- Practical knowledge of Android filesystems like ext4, YAFFS, and F2FS.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience creating and managing init.rc scripts for Android system startup.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
