<p><b>Job Title :</b> Analytics Engineer (IIT/BITS/NIT/Top Tier college Preferred)<br/><br/><b>Location :</b> India (Remote)<br/><br/><b>Experience :</b> 2-6 years<br/><br/><b>Industry :</b> Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) / FMCG / Retail<br/><br/><b>Employment Type :</b> Full-Time/Contractor<br/><br/><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data & Insights team.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, building scalable and maintainable data models that empower business decision-making across sales, supply chain, marketing, and finance.<br/><br/>You will be instrumental in transforming raw data into trusted, business-ready datasets using DBT, integrating data from SAP systems, and delivering insights through Snowflake in a CPG context.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Develop and maintain modular, well-documented DBT models for core business domains<br/><br/>- Translate complex business logic and raw data into clean, accessible, and governed datasets<br/><br/>- Work with SAP (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, BPC, etc.) data sources to extract relevant information and model it effectively<br/><br/>- Design and optimize Snowflake-based data warehouses, ensuring performance and cost-efficiency<br/><br/>- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define data requirements<br/><br/>- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and version control for DBT projects (using Git)<br/><br/>- Support data quality, observability, and documentation standards<br/><br/>- Maintain a deep understanding of CPG domain KPIs and reporting needs (e.g., trade spend, route-to-market, retail analytics, etc.)<br/><br/><b>Preferred Skills & Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- 2-6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or BI Development<br/><br/>- Strong experience with DBT (dbt Cloud or dbt Core)<br/><br/>- Experience working with SAP datasets familiarity with SAP tables, data structures, and ETL best practices<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and writing performant SQL at scale<br/><br/>- Proficient in building data pipelines, data modeling (star/snowflake schema), and transformation logic<br/><br/>- Knowledge of CPG industry metrics and workflows<br/><br/>- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)<br/><br/>- Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Experience with BI tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau<br/><br/>- Understanding of data governance, lineage, and security best practices<br/><br/>- Exposure to data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect)<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and Agile methodologies<br/><br/><b>What We Offer :</b><br/><br/>- Competitive salary and benefits<br/><br/>- Flexible remote/hybrid work options<br/><br/>- Opportunity to work on large-scale CPG datasets<br/><br/>- Learning and development budget<br/><br/>- Collaborative and inclusive work culture</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
