We are seeking a skilled and proactive Appian Support Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of business-critical Appian-based applications.
This includes providing L2/L3 support, performing root cause analysis, managing environmental maintenance, and collaborating with development teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide L2/L3 support for Appian BPM applications, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Monitor application health, identify potential issues proactively, and ensure optimal performance using Appian and third-party monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deploy patches, upgrades, and new releases.
- Manage and maintain multiple Appian environments (Development, Testing, UAT, Production), including version upgrades and hotfix installations.
- Create and maintain detailed support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles to aid in efficient issue resolution.
- Work closely with Appian Global Support and vendors for platform-level troubleshooting and enhancements.
- Participate in on-call rotations and ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, security compliance, and change management processes.
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams on Appian architecture, deployment processes, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting or developing applications on the Appian BPM platform.
- Strong understanding of Appian architecture, components, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Appian 21.x or later versions.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting SAIL interfaces, process models, and Appian integrations.
- Experience with Appian DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Automated Deployment Manager (ADM).
- Working knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, and web services integration.
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Desired Skills :
- Appian Certified Associate Developer or higher certification.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
