**What You'll Do at Pega:**


Application Software Design and Development
•Design, develop and implement high quality Application Software with minimal defects that conforms with suggested design patterns and best practices using Pega Platform
•Design applications from modeling the data schema to building out the process flows to creating mock-ups for the interfaces leveraging Pega's Low code development methodology
•Understand and deliver solutions to the business problem with end user empathy
•Execute processes according to the Application Software Development Life Cycle
•Work as part of a collaborative agile team of talented engineers following Agile Methodologies
•Provide inputs to design documents
•Take ownership of bugs and designing and implementing a story and drive it to completion
•Develop and execute unit test cases to draft test your work
•Provide effort and time estimates to complete work
•Proactively provide feedback to Platform's Engineering team and participate in adoption and implementation testing for new Platform features.


Process Adoption and Learning
•Follow scrum practices and report work status, progress and impediments in a timely fashion
•Become technically proficient with Pega Platform technology/tools
•Continuously look for opportunities to learn and improve skills
•Understand the business context of the application landscape
•Learn to use platform diagnostic tools to identify and communicate any potential risks/defects in the application




**Who You Are:**


• You are a skilled Application Software engineer, who can explore best practices, understand requirements and write good quality code quickly.
• You enjoy exploring the latest developments and best practices in the Application Software industry and applying them at work.
• You take constructive feedback with an open mind and work to continuously improve yourself.
•You are a self-starter, highly motivated, innovative, able to shift directions quickly when priorities change, and deliver against tight deadlines
• You are proactive in seeking work assignments and exploring new areas.
• You are committed to client success.




**What You've Accomplished:**


•2-5 years of Application Software development experience, preferably in a product development company
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer applications or related field
•Strong understanding of Application Software engineering concepts and practices.
•Prior experience with enterprise systems including CRM, Industry applications, ERP and their corresponding business domain knowledge
•Preferred experience developing integrations using APIs
•Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
•Solid understanding of, and practical experience with DevOps and Application Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
•Practical experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology
•Practical knowledge of Application Software design patterns
•Have some exposure to project planning and effort estimation practices.
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team to brainstorm, plan and develop new features.
•Experience with one or more of the following: Java, J2EE, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Oracle, DB2, MS SQL
•Pega 7.x/8.x experience/certification is a plus.
•Experience/Certification in is a plus.
