<p><p><b>Role :</b> Application Support Engineer Informix.<br/><br/><b>Mandatory Skills :</b> Informix, Embedded C, ISAM, ESQL, AWK Script, Programming C.<br/><br/><b>Experience :</b> 5-12 Years.<br/><br/><b>Notice Period :</b> Immediate 30 Days.<br/><br/><b>Primary Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Provide technical support for applications built on the Informix database platform.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues related to Informix, Embedded C, ISAM, ESQL, and C programming.<br/><br/>- Perform system monitoring, health checks, and performance tuning.<br/><br/>- Manage application deployments and updates.<br/><br/>- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.<br/><br/>- Support and maintain Informix database environments.<br/><br/>- Monitor database performance and identify potential issues.<br/><br/>- Perform database backups and restores.<br/><br/>- Optimize database queries and performance.<br/><br/>- Manage database security and access controls.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain Embedded C and C programs for application functionality.<br/><br/>- Debug and troubleshoot Embedded C and C code.<br/><br/>- Optimize code for performance and efficiency.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain applications using ISAM and ESQL.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot and resolve ISAM and ESQL related issues.<br/><br/>- Optimize ISAM and ESQL queries and performance.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain AWK scripts for data processing and automation.<br/><br/>- Utilize AWK scripts for log analysis and reporting.<br/><br/>- Automate system administration tasks using AWK scripts.<br/><br/>- Manage and track support tickets and issues using a ticketing system.<br/><br/>- Document solutions, best practices, and knowledge base articles.<br/><br/>- Provide training and support to end-users.<br/><br/>- Work closely with development teams, database administrators, and end-users.<br/><br/>- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.<br/><br/>- Participate in team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills and Experience:</b><br/><br/>- 5-12 years of experience as an Application Support Engineer with a focus on Informix.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of Informix database administration and development.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in Embedded C and C programming.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with ISAM and ESQL.<br/><br/>- Experience with AWK scripting for data processing and automation.<br/><br/>- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/>- Experience with application deployment and maintenance.<br/><br/>- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br/><br/>- Ability to work independently and as part of a team</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
