<p><p><b>Company Description.</b><br/><br/> Arista Networks is an industry leader in data-driven, client-to-cloud networking for large data center, campus and routing environments.<br/><br/> Arista is a well-established and profitable company with over $8 billion in revenue.<br/><br/> Aristas award-winning platforms, ranging in Ethernet speeds up to 800G bits per second, redefine scalability, agility, and resilience.<br/><br/> Arista is a founding member of the Ultra Ethernet consortium.<br/><br/> We have shipped over 20 million cloud networking ports worldwide with CloudVision and EOS, an advanced network operating system.<br/><br/> Arista is committed to open standards, and its products are available worldwide directly and through partners.<br/><br/> At Arista, we value the diversity of thought and perspectives each employee brings.<br/><br/> We believe fostering an inclusive environment where individuals from various backgrounds and experiences feel welcome is essential for driving creativity and innovation.<br/><br/> Our commitment to excellence has earned us several prestigious awards, such as the Great Place to Work Survey for Best Engineering Team and Best Company for Diversity, Compensation, and Work-Life Balance.<br/><br/> At Arista, we take pride in our track record of success and strive to maintain the highest quality and performance standards in everything we do.<br/><br/> <b>Job Description :</b><br/><br/> <b>Who Youll Work With :</b><br/><br/> You will work with software development engineers, hardware engineers, field support engineers, product managers, and software test engineers to analyse customer requirements and use cases, gather technical details, create software test plans, and validate that the product meets our customers requirements.<br/><br/> You will also work with our customer support and engineering teams to help address escalated customer issues by reproducing, and debugging those in the lab.<br/><br/> The role will provide opportunities to create real impact in the rapidly growing Software defined (SD) branch, SD-WAN, Cloud IT services, and virtualization technologies.<br/><br/> <b>What Youll Do :</b><br/><br/>- Arista Networks is seeking high-caliber Solution test engineers.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with various stakeholders from the development, sales and other test teams to understand requirements and expectations.<br/><br/> - Plan the building of, or add to the existing network topology required to test the use cases.<br/><br/> - Configure hardware, features, traffic generators and other tools to emulate the required environment.<br/><br/> - Execute exhaustive testplan, focusing on potential weaker areas, performance and realistic scale.<br/><br/> - Troubleshoot failures and performance shortcomings and work with the development team on reproduction, root cause analysis, fix verification and bug/limitation documentation.<br/><br/> - Communicate and present results to various stakeholders while providing feedback and recommendations on potential design and performance improvements.<br/><br/> - Interact with sales team and customers to answer questions, handle ad-hoc requests and run small demos.<br/><br/> - Collaborate with peers to cross-train on new technologies and improve team effectiveness.<br/><br/> - Help the TAC team with escalations reproductions efforts when needed.<br/><br/> <b>Qualifications.</b><br/><br/> - 8+ years of experience in a System test or Solution test role, handling complex end-to-end environments.<br/><br/> - Highly detailed working knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies such as IP forwarding, IP multicast, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, MPLS, eVPN, ECMP, VRRP, STP, RSTP, MST, PVST+, Ethernet link aggregation, LACP, etc.<br/><br/> - Detailed working knowledge of layer-2/3-switch administration, including industry-standard CLI and SNMP interfaces.<br/><br/> - Familiarity with Linux tools such as ping, traceroute, tcpdump, ifconfig, ip link, ip route, arp, /proc/net, /proc/sys/net, vmstat, netstat, ttcp, iperf, and strace.<br/><br/> - Some familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or TCL.<br/><br/> - Strong written and oral communication skills.<br/><br/> - Strong drive to improve quality and curiosity to learn new technologies.<br/><br/> - Able to operate with a high degree of independence, driven by an internal desire to succeed at the challenge of breaking our products.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
