(powering PragmaticPlay) is a leading content provider to the iGaming and Betting Industry, offering a multi-product portfolio that is innovative, regulated and mobile-focused.<br/><br/>Pragmatic Play strives to create the most engaging and evocative experience for customers globally across a range of products, including slots, live casino, sports betting, virtual sports and bingo.<br/><br/><b>ABOUT THE ROLE : </b><br/><br/>We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET III) to join our growing Quality Assurance team.<br/><br/>In this role, you will be responsible for writing and maintaining both UI and backend automation tests, ensuring the highest quality standards across the application.<br/><br/>You will use tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, Postman, TestNG, and Cucumber to automate tests and ensure product reliability.<br/><br/>The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of QA processes, and a proven ability to be an independent contributor who can unblock themselves and peers.<br/><br/>As a Lead SDET, you will play a critical role in mentoring junior team members, ensuring best practices in testing, and collaborating effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.<br/><br/><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :</b><br/><br/>1.

Test Automation Development:<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to define automation strategy (functional/non-functional) for a product.<br/><br/></p><p>- Highly proficient in automation tools and in-depth knowledge of functional/non-functional automation stacks and building frameworks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Write automated API/WebSocket tests using Java/Rest Assured and Postman for validating RESTful APIs and WebSocket.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure that SDET I and SDET II in the team reuse and maintain existing test frameworks where possible.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficient in Java and can write performant code and is able to do code reviews for the work done by the team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Be aware of the production environment and issues reported.

Own up reproduction and troubleshooting </p><p>production issues.<br/><br/></p><p>- Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios.<br/><br/></p><p>- Responsible for various dimensions of testing (functional/non-functional (i.e performance, scalability, security, adverse etc.), ensuring quality experience to our customers.<br/><br/></p><p>- Write, review and maintain test cases that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in testing web services/distributed systems and strong understanding on sql/nosql databases.<br/><br/>Framework & Tooling :<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to design scalable, reusable and extensible automation framework by following OOPS design principles using Java, Selenium/WebDriver, Rest Assured, Postman, and Cucumber frameworks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Applies best design practices from other frameworks to in-house.<br/><br/></p><p>- Cognizant of performance, scalability attributes of the frameworks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in developing PoC on problem statements related to test automation e.g tools/simulations/mocking/stubs development experience is a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience in performance testing using JMeter/locust etc is a must.<br/><br/></p><p>- Code coverage tool Jococo/coburtura is a must.<br/><br/>Agile and Continuous Integration (CI/CD) :<br/><br/></p><p>- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g, Jenkins, GitLab CI).<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure tests are executed as part of the build and deployment processes, reporting the results promptly.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, standups, retrospectives) and work in an iterative, fast-paced environment.<br/><br/>Problem Solving and troubleshooting :<br/><br/></p><p>- Exceptional technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyse complex issues and resolve them independently.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to debug, isolate, and fix issues in both test code and application code.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks.<br/><br/>Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams :<br/><br/></p><p>- Partner with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies that support development cycles and meet business requirements.<br/><br/></p><p>- Lead cross-functional communication between engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure everyone is aligned on quality standards and release timelines.<br/><br/><b>ADDITIONAL SKILLS :</b><br/><br/>- Knowledge of mobile test automation tools such as Appium.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and services (AWS, Azure, etc.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in the game industry or with game-specific automation is a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for managing test environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Required experience of 6 to 10 years<br/><br/><b>WHAT WE OFFER :</b><br/><br/>Driven by a persistence to craft immersive experiences and responsible thrills, our professional team consistently deliver best-in-class services with a dedication to create games that players love time and time again.<br/><br/>- Competitive compensation depending on experience<br/><br/></p><p>- Opportunities for professional and personal development<br/><br/></p><p>- Opportunities to progress within a dynamic team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Chance to work with close and collaborative colleagues<br/><br/></p><p>- Comprehensive health coverage<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
