<p><p><b>Role Overview :</b><br/><br/>We are looking for a talented Backend Developer with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python programming, with hands-on experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs, unit testing, and working in Linux environments.

You will be responsible for building robust backend services, optimizing code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Python and relevant frameworks.<br/><br/>- Design and integrate RESTful APIs, preferably using Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).<br/><br/>- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to Python best practices and PEP standards.<br/><br/>- Utilize advanced Python features such as decorators, generators, and context managers to build scalable applications.<br/><br/>- Perform unit testing and integration testing using frameworks like unittest or pytest.<br/><br/>- Debug, profile, and optimize backend services to improve performance and reliability.<br/><br/>- Work within Linux environments for development, deployment, and troubleshooting.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver solutions.<br/><br/>- Manage version control using Git and GitLab, ensuring proper code versioning and collaboration.<br/><br/>- Apply object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns to develop reusable and modular code.<br/><br/>- Write mocks and stubs to support testing efforts.<br/><br/>- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills and Qualifications :</b><br/><br/><b>Programming Languages & Tools :</b><br/><br/>- Strong proficiency in Python with knowledge of static typing tools such as mypy.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Python code quality and formatting tools including black, isort, and flake8.<br/><br/>- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as unittest or pytest.<br/><br/>- Practical experience with Git and GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.<br/><br/><b>Frameworks & Libraries :</b><br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework (DRF) preferred.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with other Python libraries and frameworks like FastAPI, Pydantic, and Pandas is a plus.<br/><br/><b>Development Practices :</b><br/><br/>- Deep understanding of advanced Python features (decorators, generators, context managers).<br/><br/>- Awareness and adherence to PEP guidelines for Python coding standards.<br/><br/>- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.<br/><br/>- Experience writing unit tests, mocks, and integration tests.<br/><br/><b>Operating Systems :</b><br/><br/>- Comfortable working in Linux-based development environments.<br/><br/><b>Soft Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.<br/><br/>- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.<br/><br/>- Good communication skills to effectively discuss and document technical solutions.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.<br/><br/>- Prior experience in a startup or Agile environment.<br/><br/>- Exposure to cloud platforms and containerization tools (optional).</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
