POSITION OVERVIEW:
At Apollo, we are a global team of alternative investment managers passionate about delivering uncommon value to our investors and shareholders.
With over 30 years of proven expertise across Private Equity, Credit, and Real Assets in various regions and industries, we are known for our integrated businesses, our strong investment performance, our value-oriented philosophy, and our people.
We seek a Support Analyst to support Technically and Functionally suite of applications used by Private Equity (PE) controllers.
This involves applications such as Investran which Fund Accounting application from FIS, Plutus (inhouse developed) used for Payments and other related applications used for reporting and supporting functions.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded hands-on engineer passionate about learning PE domain functionally and able to do automation using Python/VBA and has good understanding of SQL.
This support engineer will work closely with key stakeholders in PE controllers’ team and will handle their support issues, identify the opportunities of improvements and hence also contribute to development of small enhancements and projects.
A smart developer who is willing to learn the domain and is also willing to do support along with the development work or a smart production support person who already has a coding background in SQL/Python/VBA and is willing to go up the value chain by also adopting functional understanding are the right candidates for this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to maintenance and enhancement of the PE applications by understanding the business, proactively avoiding the recurring issues, coming up with solutions/enhancements to improve the platform.
Foster a culture of collaboration, disciplined software engineering practices, and a mindset to leave things better than you found them.
Optimize team processes to improve productivity and responsiveness to feedback and changing priorities.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, collaborate, and communicate effectively to reach successful outcomes.

Desire to learn the domain and deliver solutions with at a higher velocity.
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another STEM field
Experience with software development in the Alternative Asset Management or Investment Banking domain
4-5 years of software development experience or support experience in Investment Banking domain – should already have some functional skills/understanding of the business that they have supported or worked for.
Hands-on coding expertise in Python, VBA and SQL
Exceptional problem-solving & debugging skills.
Awareness of emerging application development methodologies, design patterns, and technologies.
Ability to quickly learn new and emerging technologies and adopt solutions from within the company or the open-source community.
