Job overview:
The role is for a Functional Consultant in Finance Projects and Systems Implementation.
This requires a blend of finance and technical skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
The person in this role plays a vital part in ensuring that the implemented financial systems meet the business needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding, documenting, and analyzing the business processes and requirements related to financial systems such as NetSuite, Workday Adaptive, Tableau etc.
- Good understanding of order-to-cash (O2C), procure-to-pay (P2P), record-to-report (R2R) processes.
- Ensure business requirements are accurately captured and translated into the system’s functionality.
- Designing and implementing solutions that align with the business's financial needs and goals.
- Collaborating with the technical team to translate business requirements into system specifications.
- Configuring and customizing financial systems according to the business requirements (add on)
- Conducting functional testing of the implemented systems to ensure they meet the business requirements.
- Working with stakeholders to troubleshoot any issues that arise during implementation, and post-implementation.
- Providing training and support to users of the financial systems.
- Collaborating with project managers to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.
- Keeping up to date with the latest financial systems and trends to ensure the business benefits from these technologies.
- Conducting post-implementation reviews to assess the success of the transition and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance.
Master’s degree in business administration MBA or CA is preferred. - Overall 7+ years of versatile experience in accounting, finance implementation projects, handling adhoc queries, working with multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of finance processes (O2C, P2P and R2R) and systems.
- Must have hands-on functional experience with NetSuite ERP
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Excel (spreadsheets) and MS PowerPoint (powerpoints).
