We areseeking a motivated Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain internal workflowsand integrations that power to global operations.Role OverviewThe Automation Engineer will be responsible for building and optimizing workflows usingautomation platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier) alongside scripting and API integrations.
Thisrole will sit within our India offshore team and work closely with Altrio’s global Data Services &Professional Services leaders.This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing SaaS company, work with modernautomation tools, and grow into a specialist role in AI-driven workflows.Key Responsibilities:Workflow Automation: Design, build, and maintain automation workflows using n8n (training provided) and other low-code/no-code platforms.Integrations & APIs: Work with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON to integrate applications (Google Workspace, Slack, CRMs, databases, etc.).Scripting & Custom Logic: Write scripts in JavaScript/Python for data transformation,error handling, and custom automation nodes.Database Operations: Query and update SQL/NoSQL databases as part of automation pipelines.Deployment & Maintenance: Manage and optimize workflows for scalability, performance, and error handling.Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements intotechnical solutions.Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for workflows and integrations.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).1–3 years of experience in automation, integrations, or backend engineering .Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, JSON, and data flows .Hands-on experience with at least one workflow automation platform (Zapier,Make.com, UiPath, Blue Prism, or internal tooling).Solid programming knowledge in JavaScript (preferred) or Python .Familiarity with SQL for data manipulation and queries.Good written and spoken communication skills.Quick learner with ability to pick up new platforms like n8n .Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).Exposure to AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.).Knowledge of ETL pipelines or workflow orchestration tools.
