<p><p><b>Role Overview :</b><br/><br/></p><p>We are seeking an experienced AWS Migration Specialist to lead end-to-end data center to AWS migration projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VMware, SAN/NAS storage systems, and AWS-native migration tools, with the ability to execute large-scale, low-downtime migrations.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical skills, strong documentation practices, and cross-team collaboration to ensure smooth migration Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Lead full lifecycle data center-to-AWS migrations from on-prem environments (VMware, RHV, Nutanix).<br/><br/></p><p>- Execute P2V, lift-and-shift, and re-platforming strategies ensuring minimal business downtime.<br/><br/></p><p>- Migrate servers, applications, and storage using AWS-native tools (DataSync, Snow Family, SMS, Application Migration Service, Migration Hub).<br/><br/></p><p>- Handle SAN/NAS transitions across platforms such as NetApp, EMC, IBM SVC, FSx, EFS, and S3.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to coordinate seamless migration cutovers.<br/><br/></p><p>- Utilize AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) / AWS Transform to streamline large-scale migration initiatives.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and maintain detailed migration playbooks and runbooks for scalable and automated workflows.<br/><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot post-migration performance and optimization issues.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure compliance with cloud security, governance, and operational best :</b></p><br/></p><p>- 68 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5+ years in AWS and data center migrations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong expertise in VMware virtualization and SAN/NAS storage systems (NetApp, EMC, IBM SVC).<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven hands-on experience with AWS migration tools (DataSync, Application Migration Service, Migration Hub, Snowball).<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN).<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with lift-and-shift and hybrid cloud strategies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong analytical skills for performance troubleshooting and optimization post-migration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management Skills :</b></p><p><br/></p>- AWS Certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Migration Specialist).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with automation & scripting (Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, PowerShell).<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
