<p><p>We are looking for a highly skilled Azure API Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, configuring, and managing APIs within Azure API Management (APIM) Gateway.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in API development, deployment, and troubleshooting, along with excellent communication skills to work closely with customers and stakeholders.</p><p><br/></p><p>This role requires a proactive, go-getter mindset, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable APIs aligned with organizational standards.</p><p><br/></p><p>Key Responsibilities :</p><p><br/></p><p>API Development & Deployment : </p><p><br/></p><p>- Design, create, and deploy APIs using Azure API Management Gateway (APIM).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Write and optimize Azure Function Apps to support API logic.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Integrate APIs with backend services, databases, and cloud applications.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure API lifecycle management (design, versioning, testing, publishing, and & Management :</p><p><br/></p><p>- Perform advanced API Gateway configurations including policies, security, routing, transformations, and caching.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, including Ryan Specialty API governance policies.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Monitor and manage API performance, availability, and & Support :</p><p><br/></p><p>- Diagnose and resolve issues related to APIs, integrations, and inter-service communication.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Provide root cause analysis and recommend improvements for stability and performance.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Work with QA and DevOps teams to ensure reliable CI/CD API & Customer Engagement :</p><p><br/></p><p>- Engage with customers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Provide technical guidance, best practices, and mentorship to peers.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure effective communication across business and technical teams.</p><p><br/></p><p>Required Qualifications :</p><p><br/></p><p>- Minimum 5+ years of experience in API design, development, and deployment (applications with less experience will not be considered).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong hands-on experience in Azure API Management (APIM) Gateway configuration.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Proven experience in creating and managing RESTful APIs and integrations.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in writing Azure Function Apps (C#, .NET, Node.js, or Python preferred).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong expertise in API authentication, authorization, and security protocols (OAuth2.0, JWT, Azure AD).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting APIs and inter-service communication.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Azure DevOps, Git).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</p><p><br/></p><p>Preferred Qualifications :</p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven integrations.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, or Logic Apps.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Exposure to API monitoring tools and logging frameworks (App Insights, Log Analytics).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
