<p><p>We are looking for an exceptional backend engineer for our Personalization team.<br/><br/>The mandate for this team is to envision, develop, and manage the systems / workflows that enable Shutterfly to automatically generate products and to recommend them at the right time with the right content.</p><br/><p><b>Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Be able to build and deploy all components of the personalization system.<br/><br/></p><p>- Be able to make changes when needed for any component in the system.<br/><br/></p><p>- Help develop the next generation of Shutterfly product creation services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Analyze, design and develop scalable services and components in the AWS Cloud.<br/><br/></p><p>- Debug, maintain and improve the backend infrastructure running on AWS, enhancing its ability to process millions of images per day.<br/><br/></p><p>- Design and build flexible pipelines that can rapidly evolve to handle new technologies and modeling approaches.</p><br/><p><b>Skills And Qualifications :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- 10 years industry experience with 5 more years as a backend engineer, writing in Python, Node.js or the like.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in cloud computing and/or AWS services (3+ years).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with big data technologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience designing and implementing distributed and scalable systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience developing and working with RESTful web services and client-server architectures.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with working over Linux OS.<br/><br/></p><p>- Self-direction, ambition, and an eagerness to learn new things.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication skills.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
