<p><p><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/></p><p>We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to design, build, and optimize the core services that power<br/>our SaaS platform.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Node.js and Python, database<br/>performance tuning, and cloud-native deployments on Azure.
You will work closely with frontend,<br/>DevOps, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable backend Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/><b>Core Backend Development :</b></p><br/></p><p>- Build scalable APIs using Node.js (REST & GraphQL).<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop microservices and user-deployable logic in Python, including AI/ML service integrations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement robust API security with OAuth2, JWT, and role-based access Expertise :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Design efficient schemas, indexes, and queries in MongoDB.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure consistency, transactions, and scalability in distributed database setups (including sharding).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Apply caching strategies (Redis, in-memory stores) for high-performance & DevOps (Azure) :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Deploy and manage services on Azure App Services, AKS (Kubernetes), Functions, Service Bus,<br/>and Event Grid.</p><br/></p><p>- Work with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) to automate deployments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Manage secrets, configurations, and environments with Azure Key Vault and Config & Scalability :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Design and implement event-driven and microservices architectures using queues and async<br/>processing.</p><br/></p><p>- Build multi-tenant SaaS backends with isolation, rate limiting, and usage metering.<br/><br/></p><p>- Apply distributed systems knowledge to balance latency, reliability, and fault & Reliability :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Write and maintain unit and integration tests for backend services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement observability practices: structured logging, metrics, tracing (Azure Monitor, Debug and profile backend performance to ensure system & Agile Practices :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Work cross-functionally with frontend and DevOps teams for seamless feature delivery.<br/><br/></p><p>- Contribute to CI/CD workflows and iterative delivery.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and Agile :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- 810 years of backend development experience in SaaS or large-scale applications.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in Node.js (REST & GraphQL) and strong working knowledge of Python.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong expertise in MongoDB and caching systems (Redis).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience deploying workloads on Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions).<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong testing, debugging, and observability skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Good understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration We Offer :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Opportunity to build and scale backend systems for a fast-growing SaaS platform.<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to modern architectures (microservices, event-driven systems, AI/ML integrations).<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Competitive compensation and benefits.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
