we're also invested in people.<br/><br/>We know that our overall success is a combined effort, and we therefore strive to provide opportunities for our employees to learn, grow and thrive.<br/><br/><b>The Opportunity :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>BETA is a self-clearing securities processing solution for wealth management firms.<br/><br/>Built on years of expert knowledge and hands-on experience, BETA provides critical back-office controls including corporate action management, middle office exception management, and front office account management and trading tools for advisors.<br/><br/>We are currently seeking an experienced and technology-oriented leader to take on the role of Quality Engineering Manager, Product Development.<br/><br/>This is a leadership position in the BETA Product Engineering team that will be responsible to drive innovation and deliver our highest priority strategic initiatives within the organization.<br/><br/>This individual will lead a program and team that will support the delivery related to our modernization applications.<br/><br/><b>About The Team : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>Reporting to the Associate Director of Bangalore BETA product engineering, this role leads a team of software development professionals working to develop and maintain applications that are part of our core platform.<br/><br/>This role requires working closely with product management to design to define requirements and leading the development team from concept through delivery and subsequent operation.<br/><br/>This position involves regular communication with senior management on technical development, product strategy, status, and risks.<br/><br/>The office is located in Divyashree Technopolis, Yemaluru, Bangalore, India.<br/><br/><b>What Youll Do : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate has experience through multiple complete consumer product or service development cycles, possesses superior analytical abilities and product judgment.<br/><br/>Key to success in this position is an equal passion for delivering new features as well as operating the current applications at the highest level of quality, ensuring that our customers have a world-class experience.<br/><br/><b>Core Responsibilities Will Include : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Accountable for the Quality of the deliverables across Beta systems<br/><br/>- Driving multiple quality initiatives in coordination with the QE leads and other Development and QE managers.<br/><br/>- Building the Quality engineering community in India along with the other QE managers and the Director of Quality<br/><br/>- Connecting with the QEs in India (allocated to your area) to ensure apt execution of processes and test cases<br/><br/>- Implementing various testing methodologies that will help enhance the Quality of the Beta deliverables.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with and across teams to test and support technical solutions<br/><br/>- Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective testing solutions<br/><br/>- Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software<br/><br/>- Revisit the Quality process to fix bugs or address client or consumer concerns<br/><br/>- Ensure the team documents each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance<br/><br/>- Dive into difficult problems and successfully lead teams to deliver quality results on schedule<br/><br/>- Assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide and influence appropriate courses of action<br/><br/>- Creates trust and credibility with stakeholders/user community and works with them to identify issues and risks that may impact them.<br/><br/>- Creates an environment and workflow that ensures proactive identification of change to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow.<br/><br/>- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community<br/><br/>- Fosters a culture of continual improvement<br/><br/><b>Your Experience : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- 13+ years of total experience in IT industry<br/><br/>- 4+ years of professional and recent experience managing quality engineering teams; preferably in the financial services industry<br/><br/>- Four-year Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience required<br/><br/>- Direct management of cross functional, sourced, or matrixed Quality teams; experience with and significant knowledge of IT outsourcing activities in a managed services environment<br/><br/>- Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives<br/><br/>- Experience in Finance Domain<br/><br/>- Proven experience in IT Quality engineering across waterfall and agile environments, DevOps methodologies, tools and measurement practices<br/><br/>- Comfortable communicating at all levels internally and externally in an organization<br/><br/>- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving and agile technology environment<br/><br/>- Knowledge of tools such as Atlassian Jira<br/><br/>- Experience of managing teams working on API testing, Postman, Soap UI, Gitlab Ultimate, Selenium<br/><br/>- Mainframe experience preferable<br/><br/>- Ability to translate short and long-range strategic plans from product roadmaps into design and implementation of current and future applications and systems<br/><br/>- Strong financial acumen and understanding of IT Total Cost of Ownership<br/><br/>- Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and monitoring processes<br/><br/>As a global business, we rely on diversity of culture and thought to deliver on our goals.<br/><br/>Therefore we seek talented, qualified employees in all our operations around the world?regardless of race, color, sex/gender, including pregnancy, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, citizen status, veteran status, or any other protected classification under country or local law<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
