The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery, and be capable of writing efficient SQL queries to support data transformation, analytics, and reporting tasks.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Design and implement data solutions using BigQuery and GCP-native services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build and maintain data pipelines to support reporting and analytics use cases.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform data validation, profiling, and quality checks to ensure data integrity.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and engineers to understand data needs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Write Python scripts for automation, orchestration, and lightweight data processing tasks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitor and improve performance of BigQuery workloads and queries.<br/><br/></p><p>- Maintain documentation of data flows, transformations, and Skills & Qualifications :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- 4 - 12 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or BI development.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and GCP data services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataflow optional).<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong expertise in SQL, including analytical functions, joins, CTEs, and window functions.<br/><br/></p><p>- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.<br/><br/></p><p>- Understanding of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and normalization.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
