<p><p><b>Position Summary :</b><br/><br/>We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced BMC Helix Lead Developer to lead the architecture,<br/>development and optimization of solutions on the BMC Helix platform.
</p><p><br/></p><p>This strategic role demands deep technical expertise across the Helix Innovation Suite, Smart IT, Digital Workplace and Smart Reporting as well as a solid understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise-grade ITSM implementations.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will be capable of evaluating current-state implementations, identifying gaps, optimizing performance, and driving innovation all while leading a team of developers and collaborating with cross-functional Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/><b>1.
Technical Leadership :</b></p><br/></p><p>- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle on the BMC Helix platform: from requirements gathering<br/>through to deployment and post-implementation support.<br/><br/></p><p>- Architect, design, deliver scalable, secure and high-performance ITSM solutions using the BMC Helix<br/>Innovation Suite, REST APIs and Integrations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Customize and configure ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, Service Request and<br/>Knowledge Management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Guide, mentor and support junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.<br/><br/><b>2.
Platform Assessment & Optimization :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Analyze current BMC Helix implementations to identify architectural and functional gaps.<br/><br/></p><p>- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance usability, performance, automation and alignment<br/>with business objectives.<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive platform upgrades, collaborate with Stakeholders and feature adoption.<br/><br/><b>3.
Integration & Automation :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., CMDB, LDAP, monitoring tools, cloud<br/>platforms) using REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and middleware.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop automation scripts, workflows, and processes to streamline service delivery and reduce manual<br/>intervention.<br/><br/><b>4.
Reporting & Documentation :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Create custom reports and dashboards using BMC Smart Reporting to provide actionable insights to<br/>business and IT leadership.<br/><br/></p><p>- Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, data models, configuration<br/>guides, and operational runbooks.<br/><br/><b>5.
Business & ITSM Alignment :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with business stakeholders to interpret functional requirements and translate them into<br/>effective technical designs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure solutions adhere to ITIL v3/v4 best practices and support organizational ITSM Skills & Qualifications : </b></p><p><br/></p><p><b>Education :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</p><br/><b>Experience :</b></p><p><b><br/></b>- 8+ years of hands-on experience in BMC Remedy/BMC Helix development.<br/><br/></p><p>- At least 2 years in a technical lead or senior developer role with team oversight responsibilities.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven track record of managing full lifecycle ITSM development projects in complex Skills :</b><br/><br/></p><p>Strong expertise in :<br/><br/></p><p>- BMC Helix Innovation Suite (Remedy)<br/><br/></p><p>- Digital Workplace (DWP) & Smart IT<br/><br/></p><p>- Smart Reporting & CMDB<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Angular, REST APIs, JSON, and web services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with Dev Studio, AR System, and Mid Tier components.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with cloud deployment models (SaaS, PaaS) and modern DevOps tooling (e.g., Docker,<br/>Kubernetes, Git) is a strong plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (LDAP, SSO, OAuth).<br/><br/><b>Process & Functional Knowledge :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of ITIL v3/v4 frameworks and their implementation in BMC Helix.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to interpret and align business and IT service requirements into technical Certifications :</b></p><p><br/></p>- BMC Certified Developer Helix ITSM<br/><br/></p><p>- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or Practitioner Certification</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
