<p><b>At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.<br/></b><br/>Our client, a global management consulting firm, is supporting a leading private sector bank in India on an AI-led operations transformation project.

The engagement focuses on automating trade finance processes to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and market-facing impact.<br/><br/>As part of this initiative, they are looking to onboard a <b>Business Analyst or Trade Finance Operations Specialist</b>.

The consultant will play a key role in defining business requirements and supporting the automation of trade finance transaction processing workflows across various products.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br/><br/>- Collaborate with business and technology teams to capture and document requirements for trade finance automation<br/><br/>- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) detailing workflows, validation rules, and data structures for trade finance processes<br/><br/>- Leverage domain expertise in trade finance operations (LCs, BGs, bill discounting, collections, etc.) to ensure process accuracy and completeness<br/><br/>- Work closely with consulting and client teams to design and validate automation workflows and AI-led business rules<br/><br/>- Participate in UAT and implementation to ensure successful deployment of automation solutions<br/><br/>- Support identification of opportunities for process simplification and efficiency enhancement<br/><br/><b>Your Background:</b><br/><br/>- 2-5 years of experience in trade finance operations or business analysis within large banking institutions or fintech service providers<br/><br/>- Hands-on exposure to trade finance processing - including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), Bill Discounting, and Collections<br/><br/>- Alternatively, experience with digital banking / fintech solution providers such as Finastra, Nucleus Software, or CJI in defining trade finance automation rules<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of operational workflows, scrutiny processes, and compliance requirements within trade finance<br/><br/>- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders<br/><br/><b>Other Information</b><br/><br/>- Duration: 6 months (extendable to 12 months based on project performance)<br/><br/>- Engagement type: Full-time, on-site consultant<br/><br/>- Location: Mumbai</p> (ref:iimjobs.com)
