<p></p><p><b>Job Description :</b><br/><br/></p><p>Location : Type : Full-time<br/><br/></p><p>Experience Level : 4 to 8 years</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Role Overview :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support SD-WAN automation initiatives, specifically focusing on migrating existing test frameworks from pyATS to vTest.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in test automation frameworks, deep networking knowledge, and prior experience working with SD-WAN technologies.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The role involves working on automation frameworks, configuration management, system profiling, and Digital Twin (vTest) environments.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate should have solid Python skills, networking knowledge, and hands-on experience in automating SD-WAN test scenarios.</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Migrate existing automation suites from pyATS framework to vTest.
Analyze current pyATS test cases, identify dependencies, and redesign them for vTest compatibility.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop new automated test cases to validate SD-WAN features and upgrade scenarios.
</p><p><br/></p><p>- Perform CPU and Memory profiling of SD-WAN components during automated runs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Design, develop, and maintain reusable automation libraries and utilities in Python.<br/><br/></p><p>- Debug automation failures, analyze system performance, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work with SD-WAN QA and feature teams to validate across multiple releases and platforms.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and solution architects to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.<br/><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot and debug automation failures, providing root cause analysis and implementing fixes.<br/><br/></p><p>- Maintain automation documentation, coding standards, and best practices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with teams to align on framework adoption and future Skills & Experience :</b></p><p><br/></p>- 4 to 8 years of experience in test automation and networking domain.<br/><br/><p></p><p>- Strong hands-on expertise with SD-WAN (Viptela) architecture (vManage, vSmart, vBond, cEdge).<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong Proficiency in Python scripting and automation frameworks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in automation frameworks pyATS, vTest/Digital Twin (preferred).<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of networking concepts routing (OSPF, BGP, RIP,IPsec, QoS, routing policies), VPN, QoS, IPsec, SD-WAN architecture (vManage, vBond, vSmart, cEdge).<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to traffic generators (IXIA, Spirent) for validation.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Docker, etc.) for automation integration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong debugging skills in both networking and Python code.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with test design methodologies (functional, regression, scalability, performance</p><br/><p></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
