<p><p><b>Position :</b> API Automation Tester<br/><br/><b>Experience :</b> 5-7 Years<br/><br/><b>Location :</b> Pune, India</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><p><b>Job Summary :</b></p><p><br/></p>We are seeking an experienced API Automation Tester with 5-7 years of experience, including over 4 years in a dedicated automation QA role.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in API Automation Testing and Performance Testing.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining robust API testing frameworks, ensuring the quality and reliability of our REST APIs and microservices.
This role requires a strong technical background, a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile team.</p><p><br/></p><p><p><b>API Test Automation & Frameworks :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive API test automation frameworks using Java with Cucumber.<br/><br/></p><p>- Create and execute automated test scripts for REST calls, APIs, and microservices to ensure robust integration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Utilize tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Insomnia for hands-on API testing and Testing :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter or other similar tools to identify bottlenecks and ensure API scalability.<br/><br/></p><p>- Analyze performance metrics and provide detailed reports to development teams for & Quality Assurance:</b></p><p><br/></p>- Work closely with development teams to understand API functionality and build appropriate test cases.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in an Agile environment, including reviewing and editing API documentation to ensure accuracy.<br/><br/></p><p>- Understand DevOps deployment scenarios to build effective test cases that validate the entire CI/CD Skills & Experience :</b></p><p><br/></p>- 5-7 years of overall experience, with at least 4+ years as an automation Proficiency :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Strong hands-on experience in API Automation Testing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in Java for writing automation tests.<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in integration testing of REST APIs, API calls, and microservices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to create and maintain an API automation framework.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of an Angular application and its interaction with a REST Attributes :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Strong understanding of the project lifecycle and automation architecture.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to build reference applications.<br/><br/></p><p>- The ability to review and edit API documentation and understand operational deployment Skills :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Working knowledge of cloud environments, with a preference for Google Cloud or Azure.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with Google DevTools.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Puppeteer.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
