<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/>Position : Cypress Automation Tester (API and UI Automation Specialist)<br/><br/>Experience : 6 to 7 Years (Minimum 6+ Years as an Automation QA)<br/><br/>Location : Pune<br/><br/>Reporting To : Project Manager<br/><br/>Education : BE/BTech/MTech/MCA</p><br/><p><b>Job Summary :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking an experienced Cypress Automation Tester with 67 years of dedicated experience as an Automation QA to focus primarily on API and UI Automation Testing, including performance testing.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The position requires a problem-solver and excellent communicator who will function as the key QA Automation Engineer, assisting both automation and manual testing efforts.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The role demands hands-on technical knowledge of testing Angular Applications and REST APIs, proficiency with tools like Cypress, Cucumber, and Postman, and familiarity with DevOps and cloud environments.</p><br/><p><b>Job Description :</b><br/><br/><b>Automation Strategy and Development :</b><br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automation test suites for both API and UI testing using industry-standard frameworks and practices.<br/><br/>- Utilize expert-level skills in testing frameworks, preferably Cypress, along with scripting proficiency in languages like TypeScript and JavaScript.<br/><br/>- Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies using tools like Cucumber to ensure test cases are clear, readable, and align directly with business requirements.<br/><br/>- Mandatorily develop and execute automation tests for REST APIs, leveraging tools such as Postman (or similar API testing platforms) to ensure data integrity and service reliability.<br/><br/>- Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, integrating automated tests seamlessly into the DevOps workflow.</p><br/><p><b>Performance Testing and Quality Assurance :</b><br/><br/>- Execute performance testing using tools like JMeter to assess the scalability, stability, and responsiveness of the application under various load conditions.<br/><br/>- Apply knowledge of Angular Application architecture and front-end technologies when designing and debugging UI automation scripts.<br/><br/>- Actively assist with manual testing efforts as required, applying deep domain knowledge to exploratory testing and complex scenario verification.<br/><br/>- Collaborate effectively within the team, sharing best practices, conducting peer reviews, and contributing to overall code and quality standards.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot and analyze defects, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.</p><br/><p><b>Collaboration and Technical Environment :</b><br/><br/>- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the DevOps environment, including source control and release management practices.<br/><br/>- Utilize skills in cloud technologies and tools like Google Dev Tools for debugging and performance analysis.<br/><br/>- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams, providing clear, concise reports on test progress, defect status, and risks.<br/><br/>- Demonstrate a collaborative approach, actively engaging in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.</p><br/><p><b>Required Skills & Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Experience : Mandatory 6+ Years of specific experience as an automation QA.<br/><br/>- Core Languages : Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (desirable skills).<br/><br/>- Testing Tools : Experience with Cypress (preferred), Cucumber, and Postman.<br/><br/>- Application Knowledge : Knowledge of specific systems including Angular Application and Rest API.<br/><br/>- Methodology : Knowledge of DevOps principles and integrating automation into CI/CD.<br/><br/>- Education : Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Performance Tools : Experience with JMeter for performance testing.<br/><br/>- Alternative Tools : Experience with Puppeteer or Protractor.<br/><br/>- Backend Languages : Knowledge of Golang or NodeJs.<br/><br/>- Cloud & DevOps : Familiarity with Cloud technologies and Google Dev Tools.<br/><br/>- Soft Skills : Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving ability, and proven teamwork capabilities.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
