<p><p><b>Role : </b> Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst<br/><br/><b>Experience : </b> 7+ Years<br/><br/><b>Role Overview : </b><br/><br/>We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in Banking and Financial Markets.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in data analysis, financial reporting, data migration, and governance, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality across large-scale transformation programs.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Define, gather, and validate source data required to deliver actionable insights and business use cases.<br/><br/>- Determine appropriate data mappings to integrate multiple datasets across diverse systems.<br/><br/>- Translate data flows from legacy systems to strategic target platforms, ensuring seamless migration.<br/><br/>- Propose and validate data migration sets with stakeholders to support business objectives.<br/><br/>- Support execution of migration activities, including planning, tracking, and coordinating migration teams.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain migration run-books, ensuring accuracy and completeness of scope for each customer.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks and avoid negative business/customer impacts.<br/><br/>- Ensure compliance with control requirements surrounding data handling and security.<br/><br/>- Continuously identify opportunities to deliver strategic/optimal solutions, avoiding tactical or short-term fixes.<br/><br/><b>Role Requirements : </b><br/><br/>- Strong experience in Data Analysis with Financial Reporting in Banking/Financial Markets.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with data models, data dictionaries, and reference data.<br/><br/>- Domain knowledge in one or more areas : <br/><br/>- Party/Client Data<br/><br/>- Finance & Reporting<br/><br/>- Instruments & Pricing<br/><br/>- Market and/or Credit Risk Data<br/><br/>- Market data vendor integrations (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).<br/><br/>- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate across business, compliance, and technology teams.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of data quality, governance, and controls.<br/><br/><b>Technical Skills : </b><br/><br/>- SQL (strong proficiency in writing queries).<br/><br/>- Python / PySpark knowledge preferred.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem (HIVE, Scala, big data platforms).<br/><br/>- Experience with tools such as Hive, CMD, Putty, Note++.<br/><br/>- Strong Excel (advanced functions, VBA coding).<br/><br/>- Experience with XML processing and flattening.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and governance processes.<br/><br/>- Exposure to SDLC, Agile practices, JIRA & Confluence (mandatory).</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
