<p><p><b>Position : </b> Data SRE<br/><br/><b>Experience : </b> 5 - 7 Years<br/><br/><b>Location : </b> Pune, India<br/><br/><b>Job Summary : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>We are looking for a skilled Data SRE with 5 -7 years of experience to join our Data Warehouse BizOps team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting applications and platforms, with a specific focus on the Data Delivery and Analytics program.
This is a hands-on role where you will be instrumental in improving the reliability and customer experience of our applications.
You will work within a global team, providing a feedback loop to our development partners, and helping to solve problems by applying a holistic, systematic approach to incident management and automation.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>Lifecycle Management : </p><p><br/></p><p>- You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of services, from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement.
</p><p><br/></p><p>- You will support services before they go live by consulting on system design, capacity planning, and launch reviews.<br/><br/>Operational Analysis : </p><p><br/></p><p>- Analyze ITSM activities and provide a feedback loop to development teams on operational gaps and resiliency concerns.
</p><p><br/></p><p>- You'll work to evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.<br/><br/>Monitoring and Automation : </p><p><br/></p><p>- Maintain services by measuring and monitoring their availability, latency, and overall health.
</p><p><br/></p><p>- You will scale systems sustainably through automation and other mechanisms.<br/><br/>Incident Response : </p><p><br/></p><p>- Practice sustainable incident response and perform blameless post-mortems.
</p><p><br/></p><p>- You will take a holistic approach to problem-solving, connecting the dots through the various technology stacks to optimize the mean time to recover.<br/><br/>CI/CD and DevOps : </p><p><br/></p><p>- Support the application's CI/CD pipeline and lead the adoption of DevOps best practices.<br/><br/>Collaboration : </p><p><br/></p><p>- Work with a global team across different geographies and time zones.
You will be expected to share knowledge and mentor junior resources.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications Experience : </b></p><br/>- 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role.<br/><br/><b>Mandatory Technical Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Strong proficiency in Unix, SQL, and Python.<br/><br/>- Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.<br/><br/><b>Professional Attributes : </b><br/><br/>- Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, and software design.<br/><br/>- A systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership.<br/><br/>- The ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.<br/><br/>- Experience with difficult situations and making decisions with a sense of urgency.<br/><br/>- A strong interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Experience with Apache Nifi.<br/><br/>- Experience in one or more of the following languages : C, C++, Java, Go, Perl, or Ruby.<br/><br/>- A background in industry-standard CI/CD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef.<br/><br/>- Experience designing and implementing an effective and efficient CI/CD flow.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
