<p><p><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer with 2- 8 years of experience in building modern web applications, ideally with a background in video player development and CMS platforms.<br/><br/> You will work on developing and customizing Payload CMS solutions, integrating them with React and Next.js to create highly performant, scalable, and user-friendly content platforms.<br/><br/>You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to build intuitive user interfaces, extend CMS capabilities, and ensure seamless integration with APIs and external services.</p><br/><p><b>Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>CMS Development (Payload CMS) :<br/><br/>- Customize Payload CMS collections, globals, fields, and access control.<br/><br/>- Create reusable CMS-driven components for use in React/Next.js applications.<br/><br/>- Implement custom hooks, plugins, and APIs to extend Payload CMS functionality.<br/><br/>- Work with relational and non-relational data models to structure content efficiently.<br/><br/></p><p>Web Application Development :<br/><br/>- Build responsive, accessible, and SEO-optimized frontends using React and Next.js (with SSR & SSG).<br/><br/>- Integrate Payload CMS content into web applications via REST or GraphQL APIs.<br/><br/>- Develop reusable UI components with TypeScript and maintain a clean component architecture.<br/><br/>- Video Player Integration (Advantage) <br/><br/>- Implement and optimize HTML5 video players (HLS, DASH) with custom controls, analytics, and accessibility features.<br/><br/>- Work with DRM-protected streams and adaptive bitrate streaming.<br/><br/></p><p>Performance & Tooling :<br/><br/>- Optimize site speed and performance for both frontend and backend CMS rendering.<br/><br/>- Configure and maintain modern front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn, SWC).<br/><br/>- Implement code-splitting, lazy-loading, and other performance best practices.<br/><br/>Collaboration & Process :<br/><br/>- Work closely with design teams to translate Figma or Sketch designs into pixel-perfect UI.<br/><br/>- Use Git and branching workflows for source control and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.<br/><br/>- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile :</b></p><p><br/></p><p><b>Technical Skills :</b></p><br/>- 2- 8 years of experience in web development with React.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of React fundamentals (components, hooks, state management, context API, lifecycle methods).<br/><br/>- Experience with Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Payload CMS or similar headless CMSs (Strapi, Sanity, Contentful).<br/><br/>- Knowledge of modern front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn).<br/><br/>- Experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of Git version control.<br/><br/></p><p><b>Preferred Skills :<br/></b><br/>- Video player development experience (HLS.js, DASH.js, Shaka Player, custom HTML5).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).<br/><br/>- Understanding of server-side rendering hooks and SEO considerations.<br/><br/>- Exposure to cloud platforms (Vercel, AWS, GCP) for hosting and Skills :</b></p><br/>- Strong problem-solving abilities and debugging skills.<br/><br/>- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.<br/><br/>- Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>- Detail-oriented with a passion for building high-quality user experiences</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
