Urgent! Circana - Senior System Administrator - Red Hat/CentOS Job Opening In India, India – Now Hiring Circana
<p><p>The Senior Administrator provides hands-on day-to-day technical support for Linux & UNIX systems at an experienced level.<br/><br/> The scope of this position includes mission critical support for Linux & UNIX servers, all of which are in our Global Datacenters and Regional Datacenters.<br/><br/> This individual will be part of a team that is responsible for the following operational areas: support, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, and participating in technology driven projects to enhance our Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Provide technical support for Red Hat/ CentOS/OEL OS both Physical and Virtual Environments<br/><br/></p><p>- Support and administration of 4000+ Linux servers in a highly commercial and agile environment<br/><br/></p><p>- Install/Troubleshoot hardware as necessary<br/><br/></p><p>- Build servers following standard procedures and deliver them as per agreed timelines<br/><br/></p><p>- Work with users to troubleshoot and solve operational issues<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide operating system level support to application developers and performing server migrations as necessary<br/><br/></p><p>- Responsible for coordinating planned and unplanned outages and potential recovery efforts in the event of system failure<br/><br/></p><p>- Building CentOS/RHEL/OEL using the Golden Image and perform Image backups<br/><br/></p><p>- Responsible for deploying security patches to the server environment by following standard patching methodology<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform Firmware updates as per the recommendation from Vendor<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitor system logs, activity and performance on all servers daily<br/><br/></p><p>- Utilize ticketing system to address and resolve customer work requests<br/><br/></p><p>- Know-how in infrastructure support, data center operations and service delivery<br/><br/></p><p>- Understanding of ITIL methodology and effective operations governance methods and processes<br/><br/></p><p>- Manage and monitor server uptimes and not impacting SLA levels<br/><br/></p><p>- Willingness to work in rotational shifts including US/EU/APAC Business hours<br/><br/></p><p>- Join Team meetings & provide updates on Action items/initiatives<br/><br/></p><p>- Support VMs in Azure/Cloud environment<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide RCA for Sev1/Sev2 Outages and work towards permanent resolution of the issue<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with Cisco UCS, HP-UX, DELL PowerEdge and HP Proliant hardware preferred<br/><br/></p><p>- Document the procedures and follow best practice :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Bachelors Degree required in Marketing, Business, or related field with a quantitative component<br/><br/>- Total 5+ years of experience in supporting Linux & UNIX systems<br/><br/>- 1-2 years of analytical experience preferred - Retail knowledge a plus.<br/><br/>- Passion for consulting utilizing data and analytics.<br/><br/>- An inquisitive orientation to problem-solving and analysis<br/><br/>- Strong verbal communication skills<br/><br/>- Responsiveness and speed with an eye for detail & accuracy<br/><br/>- Ability to work well in teams and with clients<br/><br/>- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple competing tasks</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
