<p><p><b>Job Description :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with a strong background in VMware and Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) to support a high-impact cloud migration initiative.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in VMware on-prem to GCVE migrations, network and storage architecture, and stakeholder engagement.<br/><br/>This is a contract position suitable for professionals with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, solution architecture, and customer-facing roles.</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Lead or support VMware on-prem to GCVE migration projects, ensuring seamless transition of infrastructure and services<br/><br/>- Collaborate with customer technical leads, client managers, and partners to plan and execute cloud migration projects<br/><br/>- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through design decisions, implementation plans, and risk mitigation strategies<br/><br/>- Design solution architectures and oversee the deployment of cloud-based virtualized infrastructure tailored to customer requirements<br/><br/>- Provide expert guidance on VMware architecture, network configuration, storage optimization, and security best practices in GCVE environments<br/><br/>- Work cross-functionally with internal engineering teams to incorporate lessons learned and best practices into standardized methodologies<br/><br/>- Interact with sales teams, partners, and stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, and timelines<br/><br/>- Advocate for customer needs by providing field feedback to influence product features and Skills & Experience :</b></p><p><br/>- 6 to 9 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, with a focus on VMware technologies and Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE)<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of VMware on-premises architecture and cloud migration strategies<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with network configuration, storage design, and cloud security best practices<br/><br/>- Proven experience in stakeholder management and customer engagement in technical projects<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its networking components<br/><br/>- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical Qualifications :</b></p><p><br/>- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, VMware Engine Specialist)<br/><br/>- Experience with large-scale enterprise migrations to the cloud<br/><br/>- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager, etc.) is a plus</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
