<p><b>About the Role :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
The ideal candidate will ensure software quality through well-planned test cases, efficient defect tracking, and automation scripts using modern tools.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Review requirements, design test cases, and execute test plans.<br/><br/>- Perform manual testing - functional, regression, smoke, sanity, usability, and UI testing.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium (Java or similar).<br/><br/>- Participate in Agile ceremonies - daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.<br/><br/>- Log, track, and verify defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with developers, BA, and product owners to resolve issues.<br/><br/>- Document test results and provide QA status reports.<br/><br/>- Continuously contribute to improving QA processes and test coverage.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.<br/><br/>- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in software testing (Manual + Automation).<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver with Java (or similar automation frameworks).<br/><br/>- Experience with writing and executing test scripts.<br/><br/>-Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with version control (Git) and bug tracking tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.).<br/><br/>- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication.<br/><br/><b>Good to Have :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured).<br/><br/>- Knowledge of TestNG/JUnit frameworks.<br/><br/>-Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
