MacArthur Foundation has been active in India since 1990 and opened an office in New Delhi in 1994.

Since 2016, the Foundation’s key focus in India has been to support mitigation interventions that seek sustainable solutions to challenges India faces from climate change. 


Prior to the Climate Solutions work, we partnered directly with a diverse set of individuals and institutions that continue to play a remarkable role in the field of maternal and reproductive health and in promoting the participation of girls in accessing quality secondary education in the country. 

The Team Coordinator will report directly to the Director, India Office and will work closely with the Program Management Associate to ensure smooth operations for the India office team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the India office staff to plan and coordinate successful execution of Foundation meetings and events including but not limited to Annual Grantee convenings, expert consultations, and HQ staff visits

  • Arrange and coordinate appointments, including travel, meetings and logistics for country office staff

  • Support the office with its Information Technology (IT) requirements by coordinating with the India IT Consultant teams, Global Service Desk and IT team in Chicago to ensure that there is enough IT support available to the India office staff

  • Assist with basic drafting, formatting, proofreading, and fact-checking of documents for internal and external use

  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy in database systems by performing necessary research and data entry while responding to evolving needs of the program

  • Purchase and regularly maintain adequate supplies and other materials for the office including liaising with the building management for necessary permissions required for regular upkeep and maintenance of the Foundation’s India office premises

  • Provide executive administrative support to the Country Director and Deputy Director as it relates to calendar management

  • Support the expense reports process

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three to five years’ relevant administrative experience, including administrative support work, document management, scheduling of meetings and events, and basic expense accounting

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master's degree preferred

  • Demonstrated experience and skill in coordination and basic internet-based research tasks

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage priorities

  • Ability to take initiative and  adapt to change

  • Interest in and enthusiasm for the Foundation’s work

  • Maintain knowledge of relevant organizational policies and procedures while staying informed on the activities and achievements of the Foundation

The position is hybrid and based in New Delhi, India.

Annual salary for this role will start at 613,188 INR .
