**Position Overview:**
Join the Business Intelligence and Technology Insights, Reporting and Analytics team as a Data Engineer, where you will design, develop, and support robust data solutions.

We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft Power BI developer who is passionate about building and optimizing business analytics solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.

This role focuses on transforming raw data into scalable, efficient, and insightful dashboards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Design and develop scalable data products, ingestion pipelines, and application programming interface (API) connections across diverse sources such as Microsoft SQL Server, web APIs, Microsoft OneLake, and Microsoft Fabric Dataflows
+ Cleanse, join, and standardize data using Microsoft Power Query, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Python to provide consistent and reusable reporting assets
+ Contribute to analytical data models, including star schema and snowflake models, defining relationships, hierarchies, and implementing security measures such as row-level and object-level security
+ Build calculations, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business measures using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX); integrate Python and utilize artificial intelligence tools for analytics and insights
+ Create and deploy Microsoft Power BI dashboards that follow usability, accessibility, and design best practices, ensuring solutions are optimized for enterprise use
+ Tune queries, data models, and reports for improved performance, while adhering to governance standards for data certification, metadata, and naming conventions
+ Support enterprise standards for Power BI deployment workflows and data management activities
+ Assist with troubleshooting and user training on Microsoft Power Platform capabilities
+ Contribute to process improvements and keep current with developments in data engineering and analytics

**Qualifications & Experience:**

+ Three to five years in data engineering, business reporting, or analytics roles
+ Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Python
+ Experience working in global teams or fast-paced business environments is an advantage
+ Experience integrating and managing data across enterprise technology platforms
+ Understanding of database technologies, such as Amazon RedShift, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver secure and scalable data solutions and automation
+ Familiarity with data governance practices and implementing row-level security
+ Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Kanban or Scrum
+ Effective communicator skilled in gathering requirements and supporting users

**Nice to Have:**

+ Experience or knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks
+ Exposure to embedding Microsoft Power BI dashboards into applications or web portals
+ Experience with Bonita Business Process Management, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and cloud-based database platforms

**On-site Protocol**

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work.

This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs.

The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility.

Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
