<p><p><b>Role : GCP Data Engineer</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>We are looking for a skilled and motivated GCP Data Engineer to join our data team.
This role involves working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, ensuring robust data flows, and contributing to our Enterprise Data Governance initiatives.
The ideal candidate is hands-on with SQL and Python, understands data architecture, and is capable of collaborating across teams to deliver high-impact solutions.</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using GCP components.<br/><br/></p><p>- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data transformation and reporting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build and maintain scripts and automation using Python (2+ years of hands-on experience).<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business </p><p>Stakeholders to validate and execute projects.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement and maintain data governance and compliance practices in line with enterprise </p><p>policies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in the review and evaluation of internal data policies and procedures.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Monitor and ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Governance standards.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Contribute to the design of data architecture and workflows, ensuring scalability and Skills :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Strong command of SQL - capable of writing complex, optimized queries.<br/><br/></p><p>- Atleast 2+ years of hands-on experience in Python programming.<br/><br/></p><p>- Working knowledge of key GCP components such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of databases, data flows, and data architecture.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</p><p><br/>- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality solutions in agile environments.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate and resolve complex technical Qualifications (Nice to Have) : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience working within a formal Data Governance Framework.</p><p><br/></p>- Knowledge of data privacy, security standards, and regulatory compliance.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
