Data Migration Developer

Data Migration Developer will be primarily responsible to manage the integration and migration of FIS' Commercial Lending Solution (CLS) as part of this strategic transformation initiative for Back Office.

Main responsibilities

• Contribute to migration activities from legacy lending platforms to FIS CLS.
• Collaborate with business analysts to implement tool to collect, prepare, map and load data if needed (Orchestration tool for API and / or Assembly database)
• Test the migration loading to CLS in a controlled environment to refine the process of executing all defined activities required for the data migration
• Support dress end to end dress rehearsals and production migration

Qualifications and Profile

This position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experiences in software engineering, at least 4 years in ETL tools, and ideally in data migration of financial data.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technology professional with a track record of solving complex technical challenges.

Technical Skills:

1. Data Migration & ETL

• Strong experience with end-to-end data migration processes:
• Data extraction from legacy systems
• Data mapping and transformation
• Data cleansing and normalization
• Import/export using FIS data utilities and scripts, if any
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as:
• Informatica
• Talend
• SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• Strong command of SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, data validation)

1. System Integration & API Work

Experience integrating CLS with external systems (e.g., core banking, credit bureaus, CRM, document management systems)

Knowledge of integration methods including:

• REST/SOAP APIs
• Flat file exchanges (CSV, XML, JSON)
• Middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.)

1. Testing & Quality Assurance

Test planning, execution, and automation for:

• Unit Testing
• System Integration Testing (SIT)
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Regression Testing

Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, Zephyr)

1. Technical Documentation & Change Management

Experience creating system configuration documentation, migration runbooks, data mapping documents, and process flows.

Familiarity with ITIL/DevOps practices for configuration version control, change management, and deployment.

1. DevOps & Automation

• Version Control: Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.
• Artifact Management: Familiarity with Nexus, JFrog Artifactory or similar tools.
• CI/CD: Solid understanding of the core concept of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment, and pipeline related tools such as Jenkins, and GitlabCI.
• Code Quality: Strong understanding of code quality practices, including code reviews, unit testing / TDD, and integration testing.
• Behavior-Driven Development (BDD): Experience in implementing BDD practices using tools like Cucumber and X-ray for Jira, integrating BDD frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation of functional requirements.
• Monitoring and Observability: Experience with monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK Stack, and OpenTelemetry.
  
  Knowledge of Monitoring as a Code (MAC) concept is a plus.
• Configuration Management: Experience with defining, storing, and versioning application/system configurations in Git, Consul or Spring Cloud Config, managing secrets and sensitive data using tools like HashiCorp Vault, implementing configuration management strategies across various environments from development to production.
• Performance Optimization: Skills in profiling and benchmarking tools for Java applications, load testing and stress testing tools like JMeter or Gatling, and familiarity with microservices performance tuning including API latency reduction, optimizing inter-service communication and resource utilizations.

1. Security & Compliance

• Security: Understanding of security principles, authentication protocols (e.g. OAuth, SAML) and encryption techniques, and application and cloud security best practices.

Functional skills:

• Knowledge of commercial loan lifecycle or basic banking experience is an advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience with FIS Commercial Lending Solutions (formerly ACBS) - including configuration tools and environments
• Experience with banking core systems and integrations (e.g., loan accounting, document management, credit systems) - Preferred
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile Scrum practices.
