Data Modelller
- Conduct data analysis and capture data requirements.
- Perform data mapping based on data source schemas and reverse engineering of existing transformations from multiple source database systems on cloud data platform to meet the corporate standards.
- Work closely with all the squad and product owners to implement data strategies.
- Validate logical data models with business subject matter experts.
- Work with the development team to ensure all requirements are captured and reflected in the data model.
- Work with the DBA team to design physical models to satisfy optimal performance.
- Active participation in metadata definition and management.
- Data modeling techniques such as Erwin, ER/Studio, Power Designer.
- Good learning ability
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of data processing trends and innovations in programming languages, development environments, and database capabilities
- Create an enterprise view of the data objects and drive metadata capture through data modeling application
- Lead requirements gathering meetings with application teams, Database Administrators, and/or business partners to understand business needs
- Develop and design the conceptual, logical, and physical data model using data modeling software like ERWIN for staging, analytics, reporting,
- Contribute and participate in discussions with implementation of metadata tools for client (business glossary, data lineage)
- Provide technical support on topics, such as efficient data modeling techniques, application development, manipulation of extremely large client datasets, general task automation etc
- Create appropriate documentation as part of work assignments, such as program code, flowcharts and technical requirements
- Perform design implementation and support of building greenfield application development, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), and data structures within all layers of EDW
- Drive design of data structures
