<p>The Data Steward will be responsible for overseeing data governance, quality, and integrity within the organization.<br/><br/> This role will involve working closely with data owners, business units, and IT teams to ensure that data is properly managed, classified, and maintained.<br/><br/> The Data Steward will also implement data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external data regulations.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/>Data Governance and Stewardship :<br/><br/>- Implementation of data governance frameworks, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and securely managed across the organization<br/><br/>- Establish and maintain data stewardship roles and responsibilities within business units and functional areas<br/><br/>- Define data standards, policies, and processes for managing data assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements<br/><br/>Data Quality and Integrity:<br/><br/>- Oversee data quality initiatives to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of key data sets<br/><br/>- Monitor and track data quality metrics, and work with teams to resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and metadata repositories to ensure transparency and standardization of key data definitions<br/><br/>Data Lifecycle Management:<br/><br/>- Manage the lifecycle of critical data elements, including data acquisition, storage, usage, and retirement<br/><br/>- Ensure data security and privacy practices are embedded in the management of data assets, aligning with company and regulatory 10+ years of experience working in Data Governance or Data Management experience within a global company or similar industry.<br/><br/>- Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use/consumption, data quality, and stewardship<br/><br/>- Ability to partner with both business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented<br/><br/>- Experience working with SQL, Axon, PO, Invoice data, and Accounts Payable.<br/><br/>- Experience with SAP (Material and vendor master)<br/><br/>- Experience with Global Procurement systems like SpendHQ or Ariba MyBuy, Global Procurement (spend data).<br/><br/>- Preferred experience working with SAP S/4 HANA and SAP MDG<br/><br/>- Preferred experience with Informatica (EDC, Axon, IDQ), Intermediate - Advanced Excel<br/><br/>- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into data governance solutions<br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
