                <p><p><b>Job Title :</b> Data Steward<br/><br/><b>Experience :</b> 2 - 5 Years<br/><br/><b>Industry :</b> Banking / Financial  the Role :</b></p><p><br/></p>We are seeking a motivated Data Steward to join the Data Governance team of a leading Swedish bank.
This role plays a key part in ensuring data quality, governance, lineage, and business impact across critical domains.
It is a global opportunity with the possibility of relocation to Sweden for the right  Responsibility Areas (KRA) :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Define, maintain, and manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs), business glossaries, and data quality rules<br/><br/></p><p>- Build and maintain conceptual and business information models to represent data flows<br/><br/></p><p>- Document and support business and technical data lineage across multiple applications and systems<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive and monitor data quality rules, create dashboards, and follow up on remediation actions<br/><br/></p><p>- Identify, engage, and collaborate with Data Owners, Data Custodians, domain experts, and business consumers<br/><br/></p><p>- Support data governance requirements, including regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, BCBS239, IRB)<br/><br/></p><p>- Partner with Agile teams to embed metadata management, lineage tracking, and quality-by-design principles into development processes<br/><br/></p><p>- Prepare and deliver domain-level data governance reports to ensure data accountability and  Required : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or MicroStrategy</p><p><br/></p>- Practical knowledge of metadata management tools (e.g., Ab Initio SWIC, Data DNA)<br/><br/></p><p>- Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and integration methods<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with SAFe Agile framework and working in cross-functional teams<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of banking regulations, data privacy, and security frameworks<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking abilities<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication skills, able to bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders<br/><br/></p><p>- Fluent in English; knowledge of Swedish or Baltic languages is an  Qualification : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience</p></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
