The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our Snowflake data warehouse environment.
You will provide 24/7 production support, troubleshoot issues, monitor system health, optimize performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a reliable and efficient Snowflake Skills : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Proven experience as a NoSQL Document DB Database and MySQL OR PostgreSQL Administrator or similar role in production support environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience managing and supporting MySQL OR PostgreSQL in a production environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of No SQL internals, architecture, data modeling, replication, and consistency levels.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in troubleshooting cluster issues, performance tuning, and capacity planning.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with monitoring tools like Cloudwatch, Appdynamics, Cron, Autosys or similar.<br/><br/></p><p>- Understanding of distributed systems and high-availability concepts.<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in performance tuning.<br/><br/></p><p>- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring).<br/><br/></p><p>- Understanding of ETL/ELT tools and data integration patterns.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work in a 24/7 support rotation and handle urgent production issues.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of relational database concepts.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with database design, modeling, and optimization is good to have.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and developing stored procedures.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with data security is the best practice and backup Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Manage and administer DocumentDB, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL databases in production environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of database systems including Amazon Aurora and RDS.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide 24/7 production support, troubleshoot database-related issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitor database health using tools such as CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Cron, AutoSys, or equivalents.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform capacity planning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and database design.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement data security best practices and manage user permissions.<br/><br/></p><p>- Write and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work in rotation for 24/7 support coverage and respond promptly to production incidents.<br/><br/></p><p>- Utilize shell scripting and work with Linux/Unix operating systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Understand and manage distributed systems and clustering for high availability.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
