<p><p><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced <b>Snowflake Database Administrator (DBA)</b> to join our team in Mumbai.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring its stability, performance, and scalability.
This is a critical role to support our growing data infrastructure in alignment with operational objectives, specifically in the private equity space.<br/><br/>Our hybrid work model is designed to give you the best of both worlds flexibility and face-to-face collaboration.
Employees are required to be present in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays each week.
This means youll be in the office at least three days a week, with the option to work remotely on the other days, based on manager approval and business needs.
This approach helps us stay connected as a team while giving you the flexibility to work in a way that suits you.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/>- Oversee the day-to-day operation and management of the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring high availability and performance.</p><br/>- Optimize Snowflake database for speed and efficiency, addressing any bottlenecks or issues.<br/><br/>- Implement and maintain database security policies, including role-based access control (RBAC).<br/><br/>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database architecture with business requirements.<br/><br/>- Monitor Snowflake usage, costs, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for cost optimization.<br/><br/>- Ensure smooth data migrations and integrations with other systems.<br/><br/>- Provide on-call support for critical database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.<br/><br/>- Work on tuning SQL queries and improving database performance for optimal operations.<br/><br/>- Keep up-to-date with Snowflake releases and best practices to ensure the platform is continuously Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Minimum of 6 years of experience in database administration, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake.<br/><br/>- In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, including data warehousing, data modeling, and performance tuning.<br/><br/>- Strong proficiency in Snowflake SQL and expertise in role-based access control (RBAC).<br/><br/>- Proven ability to manage large-scale data environments with a focus on stability, performance, and security.<br/><br/>- Experience with Snowflakes best practices and strategies for optimizing cloud data environments.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with data integration tools and cloud technologies.<br/><br/>- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team Skills :</b></p><br/>- Experience with private equity data environments is a plus.<br/><br/>- Certifications or training in Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
