Database Architect – AI Platform EngineeringLocation: Mumbai | Onsite | Full-TimeAbout Network ScienceAt Network Science, we enable enterprises to unlock the full power of AI — to innovate faster, scale smarter, and lead confidently in a world that’s changing by the minute.Our approach is simple: Speed in execution Simplicity in design Co-creation with purposeWe are building the Operating System for the Enterprise AI World, and we’re looking for a Database Architect who thrives on complexity, precision, and scale.What You’ll DoAs a Database Architect, you’ll be the backbone of our AI platform’s data layer — ensuring that data integrity, availability, and scalability are baked into everything we build.Your role is mission-critical in enabling high-performance applications, seamless ML integrations, and secure global deployments.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade databases for AI-enabled platforms and Saa S productsBuild scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures using relational and No SQL technologiesCollaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to translate use cases into data models and pipelinesOwn and optimize ETL workflows, ensuring fast, reliable movement of data between systemsImplement data governance, security, and backup strategies across environmentsEnsure real-time and batch processing readiness for AI applicationsSupport data access layers, caching strategies, and indexing policies for API performanceTroubleshoot database bottlenecks and drive tuning/optimization initiativesHelp define and enforce data architecture standards and documentationMust-Have Qualifications5+ years of experience in database design, architecture, and administrationDeep expertise in SQL and No SQL databases (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL, Mongo DB)Strong experience with ETL processes and data pipeline designSolid understanding of data modeling, normalization/denormalization, and schema designProficiency in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimizationFamiliarity with cloud-native databases and AWS RDS / Aurora / Dynamo DB / GCP FirestoreStrong collaboration and communication skills — you’ll work across functions and geographiesBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldPreferred (Good-to-Have) SkillsExperience with data warehousing tools like Redshift, Big Query, or SnowflakeExposure to data lakes, streaming data, and KafkaFamiliarity with ML model pipelines and data requirements for training/inferenceExperience with Graph QL, REST APIs, and caching layers like RedisUnderstanding of data compliance & governance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)Certifications in database technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft SQL, etc.)Why Join Us?At Network Science, you won’t just be building tables and indexes — You’ll be laying the foundation for global AI acceleration.You’ll work with a team of world-class engineers, AI scientists, and product thinkers who are building real-world platforms that solve real-world problems.
