Job Description
Primary Skills
- Experienced with MySQL Enterprise Versions Products and should have performed MySQL Upgrades & applied patched
- Hands-on experience on migration from MySQL to Maria and vice-versa.
- Configuring & troubleshooting of MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM), Oracle Enterprise Monitor (OEM)
- Strong hold on MySQL Enterprise backups & logical backups (mysqldump/mysqlpump)
- InnoDB Cluster & Master-Slave replication configurations & troubleshooting, MySQL Enterprise Audit, Encryption & keyring
- Open source HA tools like keepalived/tungstun
- Collaborate with team to develop high performance database functionalities;
should be able to resolve MySQL Performance Issues - Extensive exposure to public cloud (AWS/Azure) to provide solutions and troubleshoot issues
Secondary Skills
- Knowledge of MariaDB & NoSQL database will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of data management (e.G. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
- Ensure all database programs meet organization & performance requirements
- User management, space management & shell scripting
- Close coordination & planning with Client & Project sub-teams
- Good communication skills to work with foreign clients
