<p><p><b>What Youll Do : </b><br/><br/></p><p>As a Power System Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring the smooth operation of our real-time products.
Your key responsibilities will include : <br/><br/></p><p>- Providing first-tier email/chat support for efficient resolution of technology and functional </p><p>problems across our products.<br/><br/></p><p>- Taking ownership of user problems and proactively addressing user issues.<br/><br/></p><p>- Adhering to established processes for handling support requests and escalating issues to internal teams as necessary.<br/><br/></p><p>- Reporting any issues that may significantly impact business operations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensuring all support interactions are logged in the ticketing system and all activities are thoroughly documented.<br/><br/></p><p>- Keeping users and management informed about downtimes, providing complete and accurate information.<br/><br/></p><p>- Continuously expanding your knowledge of the software and hardware supported by the </p><p>organization.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conducting research, diagnosis, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve customer issues.<br/><br/></p><p>- Preparing accurate and timely reports on support activities.<br/><br/></p><p>- Documenting knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles.<br/><br/></p><p>- Adhering to appropriate information security responsibilities for the role.<br/><br/><b>Who You Need to Be : </b><br/><br/></p><p>We are looking for sharp, energetic Technical Support Engineers to join our team and support </p><p>our expanding operations.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent support for our flagship real-time product.
You should possess the following : <br/><br/></p><p>- 5 to 7 years of experience in a technical support role.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in Customer Support within an enterprise software organization.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with Linux or UNIX administration, including clustering, high availability, and load balancing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience managing web servers such as Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on operational knowledge of databases, including SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in scripting or other programming languages.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with ticketing tools such as Jira or Freshdesk.<br/><br/></p><p>- Willingness to work in shifts, be on call, and/or work extended hours to ensure timely task </p><p>completion.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to explain complex technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical </p><p>audiences.<br/><br/></p><p>- Highly driven individual with a strong execution focus and a sense of urgency.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong customer and solution-oriented personality with a high level of enthusiasm for helping and serving clients.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in the financial services industry or with banking applications is desirable but not required.<br/><br/></p><p>- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education is preferred.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
