We're revolutionizing how students and fresh graduates gain practical experience in financial markets and technology through our comprehensive platform.About the Role: The Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Working closely with student interns and fresh graduates, you'll ensure smooth deployment of our Fin Tech platforms while establishing best practices for continuous integration and delivery.

This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with mentorship opportunities.

Understanding and experience of multiple tech stacks is essential.Key Responsibilities:CI/CD Pipeline Management:Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, or Git Lab CIAutomate build, test, and deployment processes for multiple web applications and APIsEstablish automated testing frameworks and code quality checks in deployment workflowsCreate deployment strategies including blue-green deployments and rolling updatesManage version control workflows and branching strategies for student development teamsSet up automated rollback mechanisms for failed deploymentsCloud Infrastructure & Optimization:Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)Optimize EC2 instances for cost-efficiency and performance (right-sizing, auto-scaling, spot instances)Configure and manage S3 buckets for static assets, backups, and data storage with lifecycle policiesSet up and optimize AWS services: Cloud Front (CDN), Route 53 (DNS), ELB (Load Balancers)Implement AWS cost optimization strategies to minimize cloud spending while maintaining performanceMonitor and optimize database performance on RDS and Mongo DB AtlasConfigure VPC, security groups, and network architecture for secure deploymentsTesting & Quality Assurance:Implement automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Pytest, Selenium)Set up code coverage tools and enforce quality gatesCreate integration and end-to-end testing environmentsPerform load testing and performance benchmarking using tools like Apache JMeter or k6Debug deployment issues and work with development teams to resolve code problemsEstablish monitoring for test execution and deployment success ratesMonitoring & Observability:Implement application and infrastructure monitoring using Cloud Watch, Datadog, or PrometheusSet up logging aggregation and analysis (ELK Stack, Cloud Watch Logs)Create dashboards for system health, performance metrics, and deployment trackingEstablish alerting systems for critical issues and downtimeMonitor application performance metrics (response times, error rates, throughput)Generate regular reports on system uptime, performance, and cost optimizationSecurity & Compliance:Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure (IAM policies, encryption, secrets management)Set up SSL/TLS certificates and HTTPS configurationsManage AWS Security Groups and Network ACLsImplement backup and disaster recovery strategiesConduct security audits and vulnerability assessmentsEnsure compliance with data protection standards for educational platformsDocumentation & Mentorship:Create comprehensive documentation for deployment processes and infrastructure setupDocument troubleshooting guides and runbooks for common issuesMentor student interns on Dev Ops practices and cloud technologiesConduct code reviews focused on deployability and cloud best practicesTrain team members on AWS services and deployment workflowsQualifications:Essential Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)2-4 years of experience in Dev Ops, cloud infrastructure, or deployment engineeringStrong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Cloud Front, Route 53)Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Circle CI)Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Docker Compose)Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administrationScripting skills in Bash, Python, or Node.js for automationExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar)Knowledge of Git version control and branching strategiesUnderstanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, CDN)Preferred Qualifications:AWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate, Dev Ops Engineer, or similar)Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platformsFamiliarity with monitoring tools
