DevOps Engineer

Job description

ViaPlus is looking for Azure DevOps Engineers who have a deep passion for cloud computing and release engineering.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing full CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Additional build or release management experience using PowerShell/Json experience.

Hands-on Experience in Building ARM templates for Microsoft Azure Ecosystem.

Self-driven ability to design and execute full CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Additional build or release management.

Participate in the analysis of and document requirements to develop new or improvement of existing infrastructure automation (“infrastructure as code”) and cloud integration solutions.

Enhance Build and Test Automation and Production Engineering Applications.

Deep knowledge of Automation tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.

Will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and building new process documentation as part of the practice

Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Experience : 2 to 4 yrs

Responsibilities:

• Utilize and develop upon build automation tools that will enhance the scalability of the product and help to ensure consistency and stability
• Design and configure DevOps solutions on the Azure platform using Azure native services.
  
  
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code for Azure platform
• Application containerization with Kubernetes (AKS)
• Integration of various test automation frameworks and tools in the CI/CD pipelines
• Contributing to technical decisions and direction in a collaborative team environment, including architecture, estimation, product planning, user story/requirement creation
• Performing system changes, including upgrades, on internal and customer-facing systems at an agreed Request for Change window.
  
  
• Hands on experience on implementation of automation practice on Virtualized environment in VMWARE including building templates and enhancements
• The documentation development ensures a consistent and robust level of support
• Research and improvise current implementations of DevOps platforms for continual improvement
• Implement modern Continuous Delivery processes for releasing software to production.
  
  
• Apply industry best practices and patterns across infrastructure and application components, e.g., security, elasticity, performance.
  
  
• Design, enhance, build, and maintain automated deployment (CI/CD) for .net and java applications
• Introduce/suggest new processes and techniques.
  
  
• Work within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a wider team.
  
  
• Maintain, test, and optimize disaster recovery services to ensure we have a contingency plan to failover our highly available platform
• Work closely with team members to identify and automate manual and repetitive processes ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  
  
• Develop scripts (Shell scripts and PowerShell) to automate visualization.
  
  
• Should be open to work on Rotational shifts.
  
  
• Participate in an on-call rotation to assist with customer-impacting outages.
  
  
• Handle the operations of the internal systems supporting R&D organization: maintain the systems up to date
• Integrate information security aspects in everything you do.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Skill sets:

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in automated Build Systems (e.g., Jenkins, Maven, MSBuild, AzureDevOps).
  
  
• “Everything as code”: infrastructure (e.g., Packer, Vagrant, Terraform) and configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) – scripting is a second nature
• You have working knowledge of known tools like Git and GitHub, JSONand of a scripting language, e.g. bash, powershell
• You have experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring
• Kubernetes (AKS) and DevOps tools like TeamCity, TFS, Azure DevOps, Git, SVN and Veracode, and SonarQube.
  
  
• Very good experience in container ecosystem (e.g., Docker, LXC, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge in monitoring systems (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Kibana)
• Good knowledge in Linux especially Debian and CentOS
• Hands-on experience in Linux OS, Windows with IIS, Apache, and Nginx.
  
  
• Azure DevOps CI/CD for .net and java applications.
  
  
• Strong motivation/curiosity to learn new things and discover new technologies,
• Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Azure/AWS DevOps Certifications.
  
  
• Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps Administration.
  
  
• Good understanding of application architecture patterns, integration patterns, deployment patterns, data storage, and processing patterns
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical team members.
  
  
• Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
  
  
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with evolving technologies and best practices.
