<p><p><b>Description :</b> DevOps Engineer - Cloud & Container Orchestration</p><br/><p><b>About the Role :</b></p><br/><p>We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient DevOps Engineer to play a lead role in modernizing and scaling our cloud infrastructure in Gurgaon.
This position requires a strong focus on using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform, deep expertise in AWS services, and practical experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters for microservices architecture.
You will be instrumental in building robust, secure, and highly available systems that support our product platform.</p><br/><p><b>Responsibilities :</b></p><br/><p>- Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-optimized infrastructure primarily on the AWS platform (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, etc.), adhering to well-architected framework principles.</p><br/><p>- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform as the primary tool to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of all cloud resources in a repeatable, declarative, and version-controlled manner, ensuring environment consistency.</p><br/><p>- Containerization and Orchestration: Develop and maintain the deployment environment for containerized microservices using Docker.
Expertly deploy, manage, and optimize highly available Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) or leverage ECS (Elastic Container Service) for specific workload needs, focusing on high-density scheduling and resource efficiency.</p><br/><p>- Monitoring and Observability: Implement comprehensive and proactive monitoring solutions using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana to capture logs, metrics, and distributed traces.
Define and implement intelligent alerting and dashboarding mechanisms to ensure proactive system reliability and optimal performance.</p><br/><p>- Database Administration & Optimization: Administer and ensure the operational health (replication, sharding, backup, recovery, and security) of data stores, including SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ElasticSearch.
Implement and optimize database performance for cloud-native applications.</p><br/><p>- Automation and CI/CD: Lead the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of robust, secure, and efficient CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild) to facilitate rapid, consistent, and automated deployment across all environments.</p><br/><p>- Security & Compliance (DevSecOps): Integrate security best practices into the entire CI/CD lifecycle, including implementing vulnerability scanning, secrets management (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault), and strictly enforcing least-privilege access policies across all infrastructure components using IAM roles and policies.</p><br/><p><b>Requirements :</b></p><br/><p>- 3-5 years of professional experience in a dedicated DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.</p><br/><p>- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for networking, compute, security, and storage.</p><br/><p>- Expert-level proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically with Terraform, managing production-scale cloud infrastructure.</p><br/><p>- Strong experience with containerization (Docker) and proven ability to deploy, scale, and manage production clusters using Kubernetes (Amazon EKS strongly preferred).</p><br/><p>- Solid experience implementing and managing comprehensive monitoring and alerting stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch/X-Ray.</p><br/><p>- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation tasks and excellent knowledge of Linux systems administration.</p><br/><p>- Practical experience managing and optimizing both relational (SQL) and NoSQL/search databases like ElasticSearch in a cloud environment.</p><br/><p><b>Preferred Skills (ArmorCode Tech Stack Alignment) :</b></p><br/><p>- Experience supporting and optimizing high-traffic backend applications built in Java/Spring Boot and/or modern frontends using React.js/Angular.</p><br/><p>- Hands-on experience with provisioning or administering PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB in a highly available AWS environment (e.g., using RDS and MongoDB Atlas/self-hosted replica sets).</p><br/><p>- Familiarity with the principles of Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) and integrating security orchestration tools (like ArmorCode) or vulnerability scanners into CI/CD workflows.</p><br/><p>- Knowledge of networking components like Content Delivery Networks (Amazon CloudFront) and optimizing web server configurations (Nginx).</p><br/><p>- Experience with advanced cloud networking concepts, including Transit Gateways and VPC peering for multi-account management.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
